Forest Green had a 'no dress code' policy until the Chairman got fed up of dress restrictions of other teams so he decided to introduce a 'mirror dress code policy' I guess to highlight the farcical nature of such practices 'whatever they ban we insist on, whatever they insist on we ban'. If the any other team doesn't have a dress code, then they don't. It's determined entirely by the other teams restriction. It's pretty simple, but it seems like some people already made their mind up. I still think that’s petty as fuck mind.

I still think that’s petty as fuck mind. dress-codes are petty as fuck I don't think they're petty. Outdated possibly but it happens. If your idea of going against a dress code is to implement a dress code then you're as bad as they are if not worse.

I still think that’s petty as fuck mind. dress-codes are petty as fuck I don’t enjoy putting shirt and tie on for work, it’s uncomfortable. I think that for a wedding it is important, and for high-end restaurants I think it shows a level of decorum. If I took my wife out for a nice meal in an expensive restaurant and someone was sat on the next table in a tracksuit and baseball cap then it would annoy me 😂

If I took my wife out for a nice meal in an expensive restaurant and someone was sat on the next table in a tracksuit and baseball cap then it would annoy me 😂 The notion that you see that a shirt&tie/suit appropriate garb for this occasions/location but a tracksuit isn’t - this is exactly the reason the FGR chairman has done this counter dress code. It stems from an antiquated era of when the ‘upper’ establishments would cater for rich white men who could afford and wore tailored suits. The world has changed and these old ideas should be challenged and shaken up. It’s 2021, there be celebs, sports stars, young millionaires, young CEOs who are flying around in private jets wearing whatever tracksuit/jumpsuit/wetsuits or whatever to any location/occasion they want. I too find suits uncomfortable, I think a suit/shirt at times can be considered smart, I personally don’t do tracksuits as I think it’s a lazy fashion choice that feeds into the fashion ‘brand’ market. But heck, if someone wants to go do the weekly shop at Asda in a tweed three piece and bowler - good on them! If someone can afford to eat in a top notch Michelin star restaurant and wants to wear a binbag - great! What you wear should not be a badge to suggest what part of Society/Class/Financial standing you may belong to and it should not dictate what you can and can’t do.

It’s just a personal preference and maybe a negative connection between the two but there you go, we all have our cross to bear 😂

True in what you say, the world is changing, many ways for the better, many for worse. Don’t get me wrong I’ll Chuck a pair of tracksuit bottoms on if I’m going around the supermarket or to get my hair cut etc, but I just think it’s a nice thing to do to make an effort if you’re out for a meal. For example the Oscar’s, golden globes, the ballon d’or, they all dress up and make an effort. It’s no longer about race or the white man can afford it, it’s just something that we do, maybe that in itself is outdated but I personally think it’s good 😊

Fancy having 3 grounds in a number of years, using big diesel machines to build and then claiming its economy friendly and "carbon neutral" fuck it off. Absolute joke and it shows what a mess the world is in trying push this pathetic agenda.
