To be fair there is a lot of that, but if you just look a bit there is also a lot of excellent food over here too. The easy to find chain restaurants are nearly all crap, but you can find good local places everywhere that has good stuff. I’ve had some excellent meals out in the US, it’s very lazy to just say ‘the food is crap over there’. Go and get some authentic texmex Best food in the world

Why don’t they serve oatcakes at Stoke instead of rock hard burgers? I'm sure they did for a while (around 2005?), seem to remember the cheese being hotter than the sun!

Political stunt. Dressing formally is a sign of respect not a sign of snobbery. Its often used as the latter just to keep people across economic lines at odds with each other.
I wouldn’t rock up to a funeral in jorts (or anywhere for that matter).
I don’t know why some people have to try and make a fight out of everything nowadays. Somebody requested a certain dress code, why make a deal of it? It’s not like they requested something overly outlandish for a football event like top and tails is it?
Watching football in a suite is not the same as watching it in the stands.

To them, veganism is a statement of intent (you don't have to agree with them).

Crazy how offended people can get by some veggie pasties. Intrigued to know if the same people use the word "snowflake" and "woke" with no irony! No I don’t I’ve no problem with veganism everyone to there own But at least my vegan daughter in law realises it’s not for everyone and often cooks me a cracking bacon sandwich Rather than impose her views upon me And do you make her a vegan dish when she comes to your house? Im guessing not

Hahaha, some of the posts in this thread 😂!!
Just shows the abject fear that some people still have about people/society looking, thinking, trying and doing things differently to the little world of which they only know.

I thought it was more about the hypocrisy of a person complaining about a dress code Then in a petulant strop threatening to impose one When reading a post i try to UNDERSTAND what the words mean in the post without perpetuating an agenda. When using the word mirror in a statement of intent i take that to mean " what you do to me.I will do to you." Forest Green Rovers have no boardroom dress code and more power to them.

Got to say Im starting to love em and not only for their ECO stance.Forest Green owner Dale Vince didnt go into the Carlisle board room last weekend because of a dress code that stipulates "ties must be worn ". He sat in the stand with the fans. Vince says he will "mirror dress code policy" which means Carlisle directors need to turn up in jeans and trainers to enter the Forest Green boardroom in the return fixture in January. Everyone to their own Personally I think he comes across as a egotistical hypocritical dick Whilst complaining about having to wear a tie he’s then prepared to demand a dress code from others Exactly I'd go in a suit and a bowler hat, and sit/stand with 'the fans'!

Forest Green had a 'no dress code' policy until the Chairman got fed up of dress restrictions of other teams so he decided to introduce a 'mirror dress code policy' I guess to highlight the farcical nature of such practices 'whatever they ban we insist on, whatever they insist on we ban'.
If the any other team doesn't have a dress code, then they don't. It's determined entirely by the other teams restriction.
It's pretty simple, but it seems like some people already made their mind up.

Surely it would have a grater impact if he showed himself to be the "bigger man" and rose above it all, rather than playing tit for tat? Allow the opposition board to turn up in suits and feel 'over dressed'...serve 'em right.
