We'll say no more about it. It's a work matter and i don't want to fall out over it.
As long as my Pakistani Grouting Techniques arrives on time we'll consider the matter closed.

I should have mine tomoz, it should be quality as always with Metal Gear, see Dee at least there's one positive you can pull out of that anti-PS3 head of yours, would you say it's worth buying a PS3 just for this game ???

Absolutley amazing game so far, i'm on act 3 at the moment. Finally we have a game that justifies the PS3.
A total cinematic masterpiece.

Yes mate, I would. Its a fantastic game that really shows off the PS3's capabilities. As i've said all along, the PS3 is probably the machine of the future - and MGS4 certainly sets new standards for others to follow. But its going to take more than one good game to throw the 360 from its pedestal. I'm still waiting for ANY info to come out regarding on HOME and PLAYTV - both were planned for Spring. Its now Summer and still no sign.

Dee, have you completed the game yet?. I'm only on act 3 and i think it's a frigging hard game. Took me ages to get used to the new control layout. Love the cut-scenes and how the story is panning out.

Nah - nowhere near completed yet. Just loving the extras - its so polished its untrue. Its especially good seeing old faces turn up. Its just one hell of a game.

Act 3 whats that all about it ain't got levels as it, the thing that makes these games so good is that the games are continuous throughout theres no levels, so you don't have the countdown feeling of their only being so many levels left.

Took me ages to nail the bitch. I was going to go for the 'no kill' and 'stealth' route but to hell with that! ;D

They aren't really levels mate, just phases of the game. It is continuous and I don't know how many 'Acts' there are as i have kept away from the net and reviews of the game until i have finished it for fear of 'spoilers'. I think you have had to have played the rest of the series to really appreciate the genious of MGS4.

I remember getting the demo for the first game in a PS1 mag when i was 9, you can't beat the originality of the first game the story telling is brilliant and the gameplay was so different to anything out then. The magazine i got the demo in said it was going to be the best game out, and they weren't wrong awsome games all of them, an what 'sons of liberty' lacked in gameplay with it being Raiden and not snake it made up with it tenfold with the story.

Thats what I like about it - you can instantly recognise bits from previous games. It'll take me a while yet to get to Act 3 - so got all that to look forward to. Everytime I switch it on and play though, a new thing blows my mind - its never ending !! ;D ;D

Indeed, my old man was watching the opening sequence with me because I was showing him my new 32" Viera LCD, he can't believe how realistic games have become. Snake Eater is probably my all time favourite game, some of the epic boss battles and beautiful surroundings (just things like climbing that ladder from the forrest to the mountains for about 10 minutes with the distant music playing, genius) will take some beating in this one. Looks immense so far though, 10/10 every review I've read.

cod4 was game of the year 2007, be a bit hard for it to win this years as well... especially since it wasnt released this year
had a quick bash on mgs4 on my mates ps3, still doesnt interest me at all, i have no time for the mgs series what-so-ever, so still theres no justification for me to get a ps3, probably not everyones cup of tea but fable 2 will be out on the 360 eventually it should be pretty decent if you like that medieval twatting people with swords kinda thing

Fable 2 - lol ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
I'd rather play Frogger ;D
Each to their own I suppose but you cannot alter the fact that MGS has the best graphics, sound, storyline etc than any other game ever produced. To miss it tells me you aren't that much of a 'serious' gamer. And to be waiting for Fable 2 just reiterates the point ;D ;D

Just had a good 2 hours on it and it's living up to expectation, graphics are awesome, ganmeplay awesome (even taking a while get use to), Storyline is quality and I've only just reached Drebin, I'm taking it slow really. I got clocked once and had half the PMC's chasing me down the fooking street so much for Otocamo. An me being the doppy shite I am, when i got to the MIlitia base still thinking they were enemy i tookl out 5 of em and now they hate me.
Oh and what the hell are they dodgy adverts about at the beginning and the jap girl fying eggs Hideo must have some strange dreams.

Shit Game, Shit Console. PS3 got nothing else to look forward to so make the most of it Fair enough you don't like PS3's and maybe the game ain't your cup of tea but don't be silly mate it didn't get all the 10/10 ratings for nothing, and I'm sure I'll make the most of it, i don't want another game now until the next FIfa, GTA MGS4 and FIFA don't need owt else.

haha true perhaps my previous statement was a little bit OTT but Sony did my tree in with the ps3 delays and price i'd always been a PS1 and PS2 owner but it's 360 for me now! Which MGS was it where you slipped over on bird shit at the beginning (i think it was the beginning) for the PS2

Yeah it was Sons of Liberty the first for PS2 the bird shit was a pisser. I aint gonna argue about consoles because it just ends up in a console war so lets agree to disagree.

Don't think that you've got an argument Sugar Ray when it comes to pricing. With the xbox360, when you add the the items that you were not included, hard drive, hd drive etc, it worked out more expensive than the PS3.

Don't start the whole 360 v PS3 debate again mate.
This is a thread on about Metal Gear Solid 4 NOT how superb the 360 is and not how uber shit the PS3 is, or vice versa.
I have to add though that you are talking bollocks. The 360 is still far cheaper than the PS3 - just look on any gaming website.

I'm on ACT 5 - and I got to admit, there are things about MGS4 that drive me nuts!
The having "install" each act is bad enough, but if you want to go back to a previous act you have to install the old act over the later one ARGH!!
The cut-scenes are way way way too long. I've been on the game for ever and I've watched more than I've played.
Sorry, but because of these really annoying things I dont think its the game of the year, in the small parts where you do actually get control of snake and actually play. The game kicks ass. Just wish it was more of a game than a movie.
Rant over ;D

XD
