Haven't we won 5 out of 6 or similar at home? We’ve won six out of seven at home in all competitions. We’ve scored 13 goals and let in 5. The one game we didn’t win was the Barnsley game which was probably our best performance and only bad finishing/good goalkeeping stopped it from being 5 or 6. Imagine what our home record will be when we stop struggling?

I’m finding it difficult to grasp why posters who’ve been watching football for a long time are still struggling to understand the level of football we are playing at. More often than not it’s a horrible, attritional grind, too many games and not enough genuine quality in the league make it difficult for it to be anything else. Championship football just seem to descend into a game of set pieces, mistakes, time wasting, and every now and again, a little bit of quality (or luck) that might just win the game. Go onto other clubs forums and you’ll see exactly the same things being discussed. Negative, no plan B, subs at the wrong times. The same old tired cliches get used everywhere.

Must do better. It also said he spends more time watching the gals play hockey out of the window but let's not dwell on that.

Utter shit really. March only wants to Stoke do well. I think that’s clear to see. He stated the manager would be under pressure if we lost on Saturday, that's just weird or it would be if he hadn't spent half the summer suggesting we would have a poor start with the manager gone by October. He's dramatic, so what? And tbh I thought they were going to get booed off on Saturday with the spell near the end. I think if we had started we should have sacked MON definitely. Nothing wrong with that suggestion.

Can't see either where you're coming from on the booing the team off remark. This division isn't about pretty football for me, is about getting results and getting out of the horrible thing. Exactly what we did on Saturday.

Utter bollocks. A 2-0 win and you thought they were going to get boo'd whilst being 5th in the league? Honestly, stop posting such fucking fartjuice.

Need to pick up our away form. [/quote We need to win at the very least, 7 away games, if we want to make the Play offs. If our home form continues that is.

So Allen, Sima, Fletch, Fox all out for that game. www.stokesentinel.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/preston-stoke-city-team-news-5975867I'd start Thompson in CM, and maybe Doughty for Tymon (looked a bit leggy) and Sawyers move across for Vrancic (doubtful). Let's pray Soutts is fit, I don't think Batth is up to it really. Bit of a concern about Sima being injured so early in his time with us, hope he shakes it off soon. Arguably neither he or Allen should be playing international games.

Rotation key in a 3 game week, even more so in a shortened week with a Friday match, so, as much as possible, I'd select the teams for the two games at the same time.
Tue: Davies; Ostigard, Batth (rest Harry), Wilmot; Smith, Thompson, Sawyers (can't play on Friday), Powell (rest Mario), Doughty (rest Tymon); Surridge, Brown. Subs: Bursik, Chester, Tymon, Duhaney, Ince, Clucas, Vrancic.
Fri: Davies; Ostigard, Souttar (if fit), Wilmot; Smith, Allen (if fit), Clucas, Vrancic (if fully fit, and rest Nick as he is coming back after injury himself), Tymon; Fletcher (if fit), Brown. Subs: Bursik, Batth, Thompson, Doughty, Powell, Campbell, Surridge.
I'd give Campbell a spot on the bench for WBA if he comes through the next u-23 game in fine fettle.
A few question marks regarding fitness, and we need to be careful to handle those with niggling injuries or who are just coming back after injury. It sounds like Fox is out for a while, but that Souttar and Vrancic might make Tuesday and Allen and Fletcher might make Friday. Sima seems injured, but with no idea of progress.

I think I'd go for this one more than WBA. Get a win tomorrow and go from there. If we don't win tomorrow, then we could end up being back where we were when we failed to beat Barnsley. Take some pressure off having to get a result on Friday by winning the "easier" game. I know it's not as straightforward as that and I'd take a draw if offered, but we need to keep the momentum going.

Sawyer's needs to play as an 8, he is way better there than as a 6. Thompson also needs to start along with Doughty. Despite his excellent start to the season as a WB, I still feel Tymons best position is left of a midfield three.

PNE - "Hard to Break Down" and defensively minded. Even if it's a 1-0 win, I'd take it.
