Sawyers is frustrating but with the angles that he looks for in his passing, there’s always a risk he might give it away. When it works he’s creative and dangerous. I like him. Absolutely, with a run of games he'll be up to speed in a few weeks.

I think he had for or 5 other quality moments 4 or us too, It was his best game in that position for us, but still frustrating. There's a player in there, but it will take some time to come out of we keep playing him in that role. You got say great assist for the first goal, bar that I'm struggling, I'd put him above Clucus, but that's not saying much. Fantastic assist but a passenger otherwise. Clucas was pointless today.

My biggest frustrations with him there, is he doesn't know how to find space at that time in the build-up, ( thus Wilmot not having an easy option) and that he doesn't look for an easy pass ( fullback. ) that get us moving, he wants to turn, look forward and do too much. Brown puts in a massive amount of work but lacks finesse. Powell puts in loads of flicks and clever passes but is extremely wasteful and spends a lot of time on his bottom. Surridge gets into scoring positions and shoots at the GK. Our midfield defending is as soft as rice pudding. Two class pieces of inspiration win the game 2-0; I'll take that. One day we will click and someone will be put to the sword. hoefully West Brom on Friday night in front of 25,000

I don't think Smith will be very worried about getting his place back. Smiths been outstanding this season so comes straight back in. Just saying he was decent cover and did OK Thought he was much better second half when he'd obviously been told to play further up the pitch. I thought first half him and Wilmot were playing too close to each other and getting in each other's way and neither looked good.

I love three points as much as the next person, but let's not kid ourselves that was the level of oerformance that will get the three relegated clubs looking over their shoulders.
Harry excellent again and two top drawer bits of skill from Sawyers / Vranic and Nick Powell for the goals, l should add.

But you won't like this bayern, our best performances this season have been with Allen in MF.

Both are excellent but they are almost clones of each other

He was good against Barnsley though bar the free kick for the goal.

I was having Powell and Vrancic to score Stoke 2-0 but can't get bet365 on down there that little circle just keeps going around and around ffs To be honest I just edited my previous post to make it look like I'd actually predicted it :-)

Playing hull at home with no centre forward on the pitch is a sackable offence surely Also only winning 6 out of 7 home games? He needs replacing ASAP!

Not the best performance but a really important win given our run of fixtures in the weeks ahead. Moment of brilliance from Powell and Souttar is just a total man mountain. What a hero. Enjoying watching him while he's a Stoke player..

Good result but I am convinced that Thompson in place of Clucas would improve the midfield. Clucas seems there only for the chance he might score - he isn't really contributing to driving the midfield forward nor is he doing much defending or ball winning. 100%. Clucas was a passenger today and seems to have taken the headless chicken mantle out of Joe Allen’s possession. Would love to see JT start at Preston.

Were we linked with their right winger?
Thought he troubled Chester a bit in the first half.
But not enough and once we scored he couldn’t be arsed to move.

Looking at the table, there’s a nice 3 point gap opened up between the top 6 and the next group. Important we cement that top 6 status in the next half a dozen games and hopefully increase that gap.
