Agree with your first point but not sure what the RB has done to impress you. Looks solid for his first game. Decent on the ball. He’s not shone but looks decent considering he’s so cheap. I don't think Smith will be very worried about getting his place back.

I was really impressed with Sawyers today He was ok, but he’s in the wrong position. He doesn’t help himself with some of the meagre attempts at grading and tackling, but again, probably not his game.

This was a deputy's performance IMO. He was fine, needs to develop his attacking if he wants to keep his spot. Hopefully he's just finding his feet.

Good result but I am convinced that Thompson in place of Clucas would improve the midfield. Clucas seems there only for the chance he might score - he isn't really contributing to driving the midfield forward nor is he doing much defending or ball winning.

He doesn’t help himself with some of the meagre attempts at grading and tackling, but again, probably not his game. His heading (or lack of) is his biggest problem, there was one particular one on the edge of our own box he didn’t end challenge and the hull player brought it down unchallenged

Excellent result. Felt that was a must win game if we are to maintain a serious challenge at the top, so job done, good stuff.

I hope you realise you look like a complete twat now. Poor first half, good goal but fortunate to be in front. Clueless setup from a clueless manager.

We were shocking for the first 15 mins and they got most opportunities down our right. Sawyers best game for us so far he seems to go from the sublime to the ridiculous for me, hopefully he’ll keep getting better.
Souttar has developed into a colossus, and Brown has improved considerably

Thank God we won that or MON would have been under pressure again. After all he is here now for almost 2 years.

Regulation win against another atrocious team who will be relegated.
You can only beat what’s in front of you and we did it fairly comfortably.

2 nil Vrancic lovely bit of skill, Powell free kick from 30 yards. Should have had a bet. I was having Powell and Vrancic to score Stoke 2-0 but can't get bet365 on down there that little circle just keeps going around and around ffs

Thank God we won that or MON would have been under pressure again. After all he is here now for almost 2 years. If people can’t see that MON has improved us and the squad, despite having his hands tied financially throughout that period then they’re blind. One or two results wouldn’t change that fact.

Brown puts in a massive amount of work but lacks finesse. Powell puts in loads of flicks and clever passes but is extremely wasteful and spends a lot of time on his bottom. Surridge gets into scoring positions and shoots at the GK. Our midfield defending is as soft as rice pudding.
Two class pieces of inspiration win the game 2-0; I'll take that.
One day we will click and someone will be put to the sword.

No mention on here as I can see, but after a woeful showing on Tuesday, I thought Chester was very steady today against Wilks, a dangerous player. Credit where credit is due.

The midfield needs more 'busy-ing' and more what l call 'five yard pace'. Thompson can give us that.
