Too early for a bench spot for Tyrese?

I'm coming to the view that Clucas is something of an 'away' specialist.
(Or, perhaps a little less flatteringly, we don't get to see his best games at the 365).

Too early for a bench spot for Tyrese? I think there’s a good chance of him being on the bench.

These are the type of games we simply have to be winning if we are realistically going to challenge for a top six position this season.. MON has to see that Sawyer's is at his best as a no 8 rather than a 6..

I've always thought of 6 as the defensive one, and an 8 as the box-to-box type. We've generally played 6 and double 8s so far.

In old money, 6 has always been a centre-half.
5 and 6 with 4 and 8 as midfielders.
Ironically, now that the squad number system is in place, positions are now referred to by an old numbering system, applied incorrectly for that position.
We’ll that’s my take on things anyhow…

That was in the days when the only way teams lined up was 2 3 5. 2 full backs, 3 half backs and 5 forwards.

First things first. We really need a clean sheet. If we get one we have a great chance of winning the game of football

Everyone knew what his job was, made it simple, made it exciting and just the way it should be played. Goalie, RB, LB Right half, centre half, left half, outside right, inside right centre forward, inside left, outside left. Bring it back.

IMHO if you play Thompson you also need Clucas or Allen. Two from Powell, Sawyers and Vrancic is a luxury we can't afford. I would play Powell if fit and sub with Sawyers or Vrancic dependent on how things pan out.

I'd be more inclined to agree if we played with 4 at the back as you are then placing more defensive responsibility on the midfield.

Wing backs can be caught too far forward. We need tacklers in midfield.

Powell puts himself about too Any one of Thompson/Allen (if fit) or Clucas with Vranic and Powell Sawyers - hoping his flaky showings so far are down to fitness -

I think he’s got a lot to offer.

I like the angles he looks for in his passing.
