How do we think we’ll start given the information coming out today: Sima not in the country until Monday; Powell only recently back to training on grass. Im hoping it will be: Bursik Smith Ostigard Souttar Wilmot Tymon Allen Clucas Sawyers Surridge Brown Vranic will play?

Hoping to see Sawyers start, need a bit of pace in, room for both Tymon and Doughty ?

Hoping to see Sawyers start, need a bit of pace in, room for both Tymon and Doughty ? Smith has been one of our most effective players though this year. I’d like to see Doughty get starts, but imagine it will be more as a fight for the natural left wingback position than starting on his weaker foot.

Interesting to see how often he's prepared to go in without a fit Fletcher (who he loves), especially one who's had 2 weeks to rest up.
I can see him starting tomorrow maybe?
But how long that will last with Surridge and Campbell - as well as Sima soon - scrapping for minutes, is anyone's guess.
Bursik Ostigard Souttar Wilmot Smith Vrancic Allen Sawyers Tymon Fletcher Brown

Surridge and Fletch won't work. And why move Tymon?

Bursik Ostigard Souttar Wilmot Smith Vrancic Allen Sawyers Tymon Fletcher Brown That surely has to be MON's starting line-up provided Arry looks good to go. Shame about Powell, but Vrancic is not too shabby a back up. Sawyers should be down to start ahead of Clucas, and, as you say Fletch should start, but maybe then be rested for the midweek game, with Surridge coming in?

If Souttar isn’t deemed fit/awake enough he’ll just stick Batth in. Which is always a worry.
Sawyers coming in for Clucas seems obvious too.
Vrancic to start as well.
Bursik
Smith Ostigard Batth Wilmot Tymon
Allen Sawyers Vrancic
Brown Fletcher

He has to play our main goal threat, aka Surridge.

Surridge and Fletch won't work. And why move Tymon? I agree. Brown may not have the greatest ball control in the world, but it has improved significantly since last season. However, he has pace, which draws defenders out of position and creates space for others. The combination of Surridge and Fletcher was tried once and was a dismal failure because they are both old-fashioned center forwards. Brown adds a different dimension.

Lets hope O'Neil has finally installed some "bounce-back-ability" into the players!!! Need it don't we. We got an absolute towelling at Fulham! Surely that's the first thing O'Neill installed when he arrived - we survived relegation by getting results off the back of defeats and even during our worst patch at the end of last season our problem was drawing too many games rather than extended sequences of back to back losses. Having said that this will be a tough game and more of a litmus test as to where we are at than the Fulham game which was always going to be the toughest of the season. With Souttar and Powell out and the lull of the international break the timing isn't great but it will be interesting to see how we get on against a team in a bit of form.

Very hard to tell much From today think pretty clearly without Campbell or Sima Powell and Possibly HS awe are probably same as your were last year .with them who knows but fancy us to get a real reality check today’s (we really missed Powell v forest given the impotency of brown and Fletcher ) on the progress made as the missing players will be the real test on whether we can close in on top ten or six from last year ,where we we are now Is very hard to gauge ten games will tell us more .
Unless of course we bash them up even with these players Missing but o can’t see it and even my most optimistic thought is a draw given missing goal threat a likely very conservative selection and the international break .

For me Sawyer's HAS to start, he will so important for us, especially at home, that said not sure a midfield of Allen, Vrancic and Sawyer's will be resolute enough when we haven't got the ball.
