What an absolute club legend hopefully his testimonial will be a great turnout. January will be the announcement.

Even that was shambolic tonight.
“ We didn’t think it was right to do it in an empty stadium”……so we’ll do it at half time with the stands half empty instead😂😂🤦♂️

And yes I do question the man but not at half time on the mic in front of the Boothen End with the ex captain 😂

I doubt MON even heard it. Anyway he must know his position will be discussed if results and performances continue in the same vein. I'm not sure Ryan would want to manage Stoke. I remember Denis Smith saying he would never manage Stoke because he left as a hero as a player and didn't want to risk tarnishing that reputation as a manager.

At half time after they’d just been booed off. Seemed a bit pointed to me. And he will but not at half time like that 😂😂

To be honest I didn't hear the question (very hard of hearing these days) I just thought the whole thing was cringeworthy. Most people left round me were chatting away and didn't even seem to realise who was being interviewed. It stank of the club being taken unawares (despite the fact he'd said in the media he was over and hoped to get to a match) and someone noticing Ryan was there and saying hey shouldn't we be doing something? Let's interview him at half time.

After the infamous Co op funeral band for our 150th this will go down as another triumph of organisation but lets be. Clear it was nowt to do with the ceo as it was a football matter in the stadium neither of which he has anything to do with due to his extensive responsibilities apart from the board saying he is responsible all football related matters ,

What specific involvement are you suggesting he had in what’s a storm in a teacup anyway?

Enjoyed the bit about Robert Huth not being able to turn left, like a terrifying, Teutonic Zoolander.

Huth and Shawcross. Now there was a couple of centre backs we didn’t have to worry about…

Interesting to read Huth is doing his technical director qualifications. I presume these are football related, but with Ryan doing his coaching qualifications (if not already completed) what a partnership these two could make at management level in the future. Who knows, maybe in a few years time with Stoke?

Didn't know that about Cattermole. When would that have been?

This is typical of a manager's thinking, who in their right mind would split up Shawcross and Huth,in the same way,who would keep playing Chester after making mistake after mistake, and even giving him the captains armband, talk about shooting yourself in the foot !!!

Ahh the summer of Witsel and Yarmolenko nearly getting over the line.
Now that was an exciting couple of transfer windows!
SLP with the Konoplyanka gate also.
Good times.

Ok to start his coaching career in the US but he doesn't want to be there too long. Any more than 2 years and opportunities back in the UK will get less and less as time goes by. Before you know it in 5 years time he will be applying for US citizenship.

Can't blame him for wanting to stay out there. I imagine his kids love it.

To be fair, I don’t blame him after having to spend his entire life to date watching everything he eats.
