Really pleased with the win. Still feel there are plenty of areas to improve upon.
Particularly left side and DM.

I was overjoyed with the victory, this team has character for sure and is heading in the right direction. I have said for a while now, I don't think our midfield balance has been right for a while. The midfield we started with yesterday, will not dominate games against the better sides. Powell is too wasteful with possession and Allen is very hit and miss. We need as many have said, a DM who is mobile yet keeps possession, could Sawyer's be the man, I prefer the Baker link, not sure if any are viable or will happen.

I agree with most of that with the exception of Powell as he is our main creativity and it won’t all come off. We need a DM and better down the left for sure.

If we are to make the Play offs,we need to address the defensive part of our game, because at this moment we will need to score plenty of goals, because we are going to concede a lot too.

Reflections on the game having watched from stands. What a game their No.10 had, ran the midfield, made himself available all the time. Allen could keep track of him. He scored their first after shamble defending, took the corner for their second. When he went off ten minutes to go, we scored.
Not heard of him before, but would love to see him in our midfield and he’s only 26. Chelsea reject according to history. Go get him MON!

Totally agree about John Swift because he was by far their best player yesterday

To be fair for long periods last season we were very good defensively and our issue was scoring goals. I think in all of 2020 we had more clean sheets than any other club in England for the calendar year. I know we have lost Collins but we've also brought in Wilmot and doughty. I have confidence that we won't be too bad defensively, it's attacking where the issue has been. Hopefully yesterday is a sign of things to come from an attacking pov.

It was Pulis-ball, with two deflected goals…….. The 3rd goal was from our keeper out from the back. Their 1st goal was a bit lucky, couple of deflections off our players, perhaps mention that for balance?

Their 1st goal was a bit lucky, couple of deflections off our players, perhaps mention that for balance? Their first goal was a gift from a back pass by Vrancic to nobody, which went to a Reading forward stood in an off-side position, (but not offside as Vrancic played him onside) The deflected shots were on target IMO; their defenders failed to block them.
