Bloody hell, how many former Leeds players have passed away over the last year or so...?
Charlton, Hunter, Madeley, Lorimer, Cherry, Hampton, Bates and now Cooper.

Jesus it wasn’t long ago when he was manager for blues Rip and thoughts with family Remember watching Cooper do an after match interview on Central Sport following the big infamous aggro Blues v Stoke match in the early 90's & I got the impression he lost his love of footy that day. He was so disillusioned & outraged by what he witnessed from the Birmingham fans that day I do think that pushed him to far.

I can remember the part where he said he turned to a young dad and told him to take his lad home to play with his toys, because he shouldn't see scenes like that at his age. RIP Terry.

Very sad news - another early football hero goes. (As a left back at school I always blamed Terry for being at the forefront of the over lapping full back concept - I was jiggered after one run) RIP

From a happier time before we started gumming advertising rubbish on football kit and making it out of polyester in a Bengali sweatshop! RIP Terry Cooper

A manager, along with Barry Fry,whom I loved us getting one over during Lou's time, which is probably a backhanded compliment?

A mate Leeds fan from his era and just pointed out how many they've lost recently. Quite a list. Before my time but always spoke about as a great.

RIP Terry He was in the Leeds team we beat to end their 29 match unbeaten run at the Vic . A strong contender for our finest ever victory. We ensured Leeds were to embark on no such run again the following season by dispatching them 3-0 at the Victoria Ground early on with Alan Hudson strutting the stage like the arch-dissector he was. Has there ever been a more magnificent sight on a football field than Huddy in his pomp in the famous red and white stripes? I don't think so.

It was 3-2 as you say, the 3-0 to which I referred was at the start of the following season, I was making the point Leeds were to embark on no such run the following season since we put paid to that too!

And, how come Peter Dobing never had a hair out of place? A bit of random information - I worked in Crewe with Peter's sister-in-law, Gina, whilst Peter was in his pomp at Stoke.

That explains your perfectly coiffured self. Those gale force winds on the top of Mount Patterdale or whatever it's called have no chance. I don't think there actually is a Mount Patterdale btw but not my strong point in the pub quizzes, Geog of the lakes and Reality TV

Patterdale is a village on the shore of Ullswater which is the start point for some climbs up Helvellyn. It also has a breed of dog named after it - the Patterdale Terrier. My ex colleague Gina (who was drop dead gorgeous as it happens) was married to Peter Dobing's brother Brian, who was also a pretty decent footballer but who never played as a professional as far as I know.

I used to work with a gal who's uncle played for Stoke with Dobing oddly but can't remember his name. Was a CB am sure but coming to the end of his career. I Did look him up once and he played a lot of games, before my time. Was so long back Patterdale was just a settlement for gold prospectors and the dog hadn't been invented.
