Normally I’d say Stoke all day long BUT with all misery Covid has bought and all the division in the country after Brexit I think England winning the Euros would be a major lift for everyone and bring the country together plus it’s something we all could enjoy regardless of who you happened to support.

Stoke all day long.
I would be bouncing off the walls with excitement to see England lift a major trophy the the first time in my lifetime, but to see Stoke back in the top flight is just too much of a gift to consider trading. Yes, it all went to shit the last time, but it was a hell of a ride for 10 years.

As I’m a crotchety old bastard who’s affinity for the England football team ended post Italia 90’ I’d have to say Stoke. In fact I’d take England not making it out of the group if it meant the mighty potters went up!!

According to the bookies, odds on England winning Euro 2020 and Stoke City getting promotion in May 2022 are about the same at circa 6/1. Me personally, it’s an absolute no brainer, Stoke winning promotion every time.

England winning a World Cup would do it for me, but just the European championships, then Stoke.

Stoke without hesitation.
England winning a competition is nice, especially living in Wales. But it's not a spot on Stoke getting back to the promised land.

I was thinking about this again, I'd have gone with Stoke getting promoted every time, but now England are so close to winning I'd go with an England win on Sunday. I expect Stoke to go up and down a few times in the next 50+ years possibly across multiple leagues, I don't "expect" England to win anything in that time though though if my lifetime so far is anything to go by, I expect we'll come close as we have on a few occasions but it would be really special if can actually achieve it. If we lose on Sunday it's not the end of the world though, the world cup is just around the corner and this squad will be even better by then although so will the competition.

Seeing as we've never even been in the Euros final - England. It will also give the country a great lift. Stoke will get promoted at some stage.

I'd take us just finishing in the top half of the Championship over England winning the Euros.

Club vs country shouldn't be a thing or a discussion for me. You give your heart to both no matter how shit or disappointing they can be. End of.

England to win the euros or the world Cup for me... Little old stoke got to the Premier fa Cup final which I thought I would see in my life time. So England for me Yes, think I'm with you on this one. Not going to get much more out of Stoke than that I don't think, so I'd take seeing England win a major tournament in my lifetime too.

Stoke, as not only do you get to celebrate the promotion, but you get at least a full season of top level football to watch. Not to mention the financial benefits for the club. Does the club really benefit financially, or does most of the money go on players wages ?

I'd like England to win obviously but I'm going on gut rather than logic. I just know that when Harry Kane put the ball down for that penalty I was hoping he'd score, but wasn't that nervous or desperate.
If Stoke have a last minute penalty in a regular league game my pulse rate and anxiousness would be higher than it was on Wednesday night. I can't really explain it. It's just the way I feel.
To see Stoke win promotion just means much more to me than anything England do. And please don't think that's anti-England. It's not. I like the team (which hasn't always been the case). Maybe it just very pro-Stoke.

I would normally say Stoke without hesitation but not this time. We'd be relegated immediately.
England, the team and the people need a win. Get this done and nothing to stop us moving on for a World Cup success.

England, winning that would be remembered forever.
Stoke aren't ready and anyway they'd get another run at it the year after.

I'm usually Stoke first but given England are in the final, my heart is edging towards preferring England to win if I had the choice.
And I don't get why people say Stoke aren't ready for promotion. The FFP issues would be gone overnight and even if relegation happened in the first season, we'd be better prepared for a second shot at promotion from the Championship.

I'd always take Stoke winning promotion or a cup over the national side winning something, but I'll be ecstatic if England win on Sunday.
