The cracks appeared 3/4 months ago and show signs of getting bigger.
The Assistant going just adds to the weirdness and lacklustre at the club
Can we seal them up, or time to smash the wall down and start again?

Well I think the cracks need to be investigated further.
Assuming we can rule out structural settlement we are left with either subsidence or heave.
Are the gutters and drains clear. Is there a possible collapsed drain. Are there trees nearby which have recently been chopped down?
What is the age of the property? What foundations was it built on, raft or strip? Is it timber framed?
Can we be certain of the buildings structural integrity? Have lintels been removed by a keen DIYer without knowledge of the purpose of them? Are supporting walls fit for purpose.
All would need to be considered before repair or replace could even be considered.

The cracks have been clearly evident for years, the issue is we continuously employ a poor decorator who we ask to polish a fat stinking turd by filling in the massive cracks, paint over the problem and paying whatever he quotes.
Obviously the cracks reappear but we never get to the root cause and rinse and repeat and no questions asked, we then carry on regardless dispose of the previous decorator then employ another decorator and his shoddy employees arrive and we ask them to carry out the same exercise, absolutely pathetic.
I know of several tradesmen who despite the riches on offer won’t work for Denise Coates due to her well over the top standards but seemingly the other family members don’t give a flying ......

talk about being negative let's wait and see why the bloke has left in regard to the future i have said forget about any chance of getting to the premiership for at least 3-4 years too much deadwood to get rid off then we need to rebuild my only doubt is if MON is the right man to lead us to the promise land

Not quite sure we have one of them at the moment I can’t see Collins, Soutar and Campbell wanting to stay much longer as we head for the Third Division. No one has ever been relegated from 12th place (or thereabouts we finish). We could go there if we don't improve, but we have a great chance of doing just that.

We have dropped from the top of the table (if Vokes had scored his penalty) to mid-table and are sinking like a stone. Has any club ever avoided relegation after displaying such shocking form over the last two thirds of a season (that is what it will be by the end the season) without changing manager??

We are not good, but remarkably there are about 12 teams which are worse than us so we'll finish exactly the midtable team that we are. Like it or not that's improvement, minor improvement, but still a change for the better from last season. And the one before. We haven't shown shocking form over 2/3 of a season because then we wouldn't have been able to achieve that improvement. We've shown shocking inconsistency and often our performances have been dire, but that are the hallmarks of being a midtable team, without reach of promotion but never in danger of going down. We have a very good manager, not without his faults, but one who has managed to get us 55 points, which is more than acceptable.

Sorry but we don’t have a very good manager, at best a very average one dimensional, dinosaur of a manager. That’s the problem with us we always accept any old crap and make do. MON without doubt needs replacing, average is not good enough for me, more so given the insane wages we are currently paying and somehow getting worse week by week.

There's a big old hole in your brain, if you think that the "insane wages" are going into the pockets of the players in the first team. The very worst thing we can do is if we sack another manager leaving us with another team of players he signed that's going to be on our wage expenses, quite possibly for another 2-3 years without playing, because the next manager will want - and get - his own players. He won't have time to groom our kids, because he'll too busy sorting out the mess we're still in. If you can't accept average you're going to have to find yourself another club. Because no manager is going to solve our problems magically.

It is so disappointing. If there's one thing that's stable it's our instability. It's only a couple of weeks we won two games and the lemmings rushed to the shore asking if play offs were possible. They never were. So while I am not exactly thrilled with what we perform, I'm not that disappointed either. I'm guardedly optimistic of another slight improvement next season, but any talk of promotion can be packed away right now.

Not quite sure we have one of them at the moment I can’t see Collins, Soutar and Campbell wanting to stay much longer as we head for the Third Division. That’s my biggest worry too. Being under contract does not really mean that much because if the club gets a big enough offer they have an obligation to take it to the board. I don’t believe another club can approach the players directly; however, they all have agents to act on their behalf. Premier league teams can easily buy out the remainder of their contracts, as well as giving them a big signing bonus and a big pay raise. All the contracts really do is increase what another club has to pay. That’s why teams extend the contracts of their most valued players. They’ll end up with a very disgruntled player if they refuse to consider an offer from another club.

A club doesn't stand or fall because of one missed penalty. That’s certainly true but it doesn’t help team morale. Charlie’s Adam’s miss was another example of how a single event can have very negative longer-term consequences.

Is it unrealistic to say next season we should be getting in the playoffs? Yes. It is unrealistic to say next season we should be getting in the playoffs It's not unrealistic to say we might, but that little semantic difference could make a lot of difference, if it means 1) players are released from having pressure put on them that they cannot fulfill 2) fans don't get to harbour unrealistic expectations. It might get a lot more boring though.

There'd be many more suicides and depressions if they did.

Niether one of those mentioned have mentioned that they want away if so and so doesn't happen. They believe in the club. Too bad so many socalled supporters don't support.

Is it unrealistic to say next season we should be getting in the playoffs? In my opinion, yes. We would have to pluck out three unbelievable signings on the cheap, move on an incredible amount of deadwood, and have a large slice of luck with injuries for us to challenge.

In terms of results it's not true to say the cracks are getting bigger.
Lambert had 2 wins in 15 games, win rate of 13.3%
Rowett had 9 wins in 29 games, a win rate of 31.0%
Jones had 6 wins in 38 games, a win rate of 15.8%
O'Neill has 31 wins in 79 games, a win rate of 39.2%
In that sense Michael O'Neill has delivered a massive improvement and the club is therefore in a better position this season.
