You've got to be kidding right? Rowett is more responsible for the mess we are in than anyone including hughes, lambert and Jones. I wouldn't piss on that tosspot if he was on fire. Spot on The last 5 years have been an absolute shit show from management at board level to the playing staff and personnel. Said it many times but the single biggest reason for the mess at the point we are at now and will be suffering for the next 12 months was Rowetts little reign. We should have had been well set for an instant return with our warchest yet this clown decided he wanted to play 443 and demanded his front 3 to provide the creativity and goals to power us back up at a cost of 30m plus and fuck knows what in wages and contract lengths we're to be Afobe, Spineless Ince and that wanker McLean. It really beggars belief Well if 443 wasn’t successful there really is no hope.

There have been times this season where I’ve genuinely forgotten we’re even playing on a certain day. Yesterday I just checked how many we'd lost by and moved on. Have always intended to go back as have been a ST holder for years but got to be honest the one relief of this pandemic is not having to sit in the cold bored or angry and then a long fed up drive home. I can forget the latest shit minutes after its ended.

We are simply completing a set of fixtures which we are contractually obliged to fulfil, there is nothing to play for and no one present to see it.
It's utterly pointless.

Right now. I check the team on the Oatcake. Check the half time score and check the full time score. That’s about the peak of my interest at present.

Sad but true, and faux football on offer says as much. I'll be thoroughly glad to see the back of this season. Hopefully we can return in August, and by God the players have better had a party sized rocket planted under their collective arses.

We were always going to be beaten at Brum- a team battling the drop v a team already on the beach. Think folk need to calm down a bit- it’s been dire at times yes, but would have been a whole lot different imo without the injuries.
Nevertheless I haven’t watched as intently lately- simply because the season feels over.. and has done since the minute Tyrese got injured.
The whole season has been utterly bizzarre for all involved and I genuinely think with fans in the ground and the right signings that that things will turn. This season hasn’t felt real. Forget it, move on.
If things are still poor come Xmas next season I’ll be fed up.
Personally I think I’ve seen enough this season to be positive for next- and I’m as pessimistic as they come.
In Davies,Bursik, Collins, souttar, Powell and Campbell we have the basis of a team that could challenge.

Been watching football the best part of fifty years And for most of them there’s been piss all to play for at this time of the season and I’ve been ready for the season to end with gusto
A month and a half of playing or watching cricket and the itch starts again soon the fixtures are out time to start looking at which away games can be made Pre season friendlies announced The first game of the season the excitement building its back
Rinse and repeat
Football isn’t a habit it’s one of the things that makes life worth living

Not being able to watch it live this season has completely killed my enthusiasm...I haven’t watched one stream and the local radio commentary is shite so I don’t bother. But, come the fixtures coming out I’ll be there looking where we are on Boxing Day and last game of the season. Ticking off the away games I want to go to on Joe Dogs coaches...having a laugh and plenty of ale. As you say it’s not a habit...it’s a big part of my life.

Due to health reasons very rarely get to watch Stoke games Nowadays but come late July me and the two eldest sons and eldest grandson will have our season tickets for our local non league side And away we will go Will try where possible to get to two or three Stoke away games Very difficult for home games where I live Stoke is a absolute ball ache to get to by train Football the thing that makes the mundane weeks toil bearable The Sunday’s often despondent And the Fridays full of anticipation

I seem to feel the same whether we win or lose these days. Never used to be like that. Then I go back to thinking about more important things like fishing.

I've not been keen on the last four managerial appointments when they were made public knowledge, it seems I was right. Wasn't keen on Lambert, Rowett, Jones or O'Neill. Each and every one of them had reasons not to sign them and each were an obvious risk and on first impressions of signing them, wrong choice, that isn't hindsight that was foresight, but the people that matter don't see it..
Lambert - underwhelming, if Lambert was the answer what was the question
Rowett - never been promoted from Champ and never had that kind of money to spend
Jones - stepping up to clean up a shit show, untried at this level and especially untried at sorting thd size of mess Stoke were
O'Neill - untried in league football, lack of knowledge of football league players for recruitment purposes. I'm hoping O'Neill can prove it wrong.
The one thing all these had in common is Stoke were a notch up from their current position, Stoke are scared of bringing in a proven manager with a higher reputation, I believe its because they wouldn't put up with how we go about business. We have business men in charge of a football club who don't know their arse from their elbow, The last four managerial appointments are testament to that. Stoke have been clueless in transfers since Pulis left, who was the main reason behind our success and the springboard to mark hughes' run of moderate success. If Hughes had a shitshow to start from he wouldn't have lasted twelve months. Stoke should bring Pulis in upstairs as head of recruitment, it's as simple as that

After another dross boring match..no attacking intent..no defending ability...are we losing fans to boredom?? So many people saying" dont watch anymore mate" it's scary for when the turnstiles open again!! Yes. Cannot wait for the season to end, it has been a complete borefest.

I suppose that being able to have the choice as to whether to attend or not is the main thing. I prefer playing golf when the weather is decent, but would the pull of the game be more during the winter months? Given that we are destined for a long stay in the Champioship ( the midfield would need a complete overhaul to stand any chance of a promotion tilt) and that we will have our Band of Leeches suck it away our financial life blood for another 12 months, I would settle for some genuine entertainment in the home games; I’m not sure that our squad is capable of providing that. I’ll attend next year, but as when it suits me, not when it suits Stoke, so I won’t renew.

I'm apathetic towards those "Stoke fans" who are proudly proclaiming their new found apathy towards SCFC. I really couldn't give a shit about you or what you've found as an alternative to supporting SCFC.
Am I happy with the way things are at the moment? No, Would I prefer us to be winning games, challenging for promotion whilst playing with a swagger? Too right I would!
Will I jack in on 50+ years of supporting SCFC becasue of yet another period of under performance and frustration inducing Saturday afternoons? No way.
The choice is ours, if apathy is your choice that's fine by me, I won't give it a second thought. However I'll choose to stay. As they say I'm City 'till I die.
Best wishes from the Stubborn Optimist.
