www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football/man-utd-covid-vaccine-passports-21497976Manchester United are to introduce Covid-19 certification spot checks ahead of Saturday's game with Newcastle United, in expectation of it becoming mandatory to enter stadiums from next month. Fans attending the game who are aged over 18 will be required to show that they are either double-jabbed or have had a negative test within 48 hours of kick-off. Spot checks will commence on Saturday but at the moment having a negative test or full vaccination status to enter Old Trafford isn't a mandatory requirement, so any fans who do have the correct certification status will still be permitted to enter the ground. But based on conversations between the government and the Premier League United officials are expecting it to become mandatory in the future, so are encouraging supporters to become accustomed to proving their Covid-19 status from this weekend onwards. Similar trials are expected to be rolled out across the Premier League in the coming weeks. Vaccine passports will become mandatory for large indoor events this month and it's expected the same could happen for outdoor events from October 1. So this weekend they will be doing spot checks for absolutely no reason at all? "Hi mate have you got a vaccine passport? "Fuck off and mind your own business "OK in you go and watch your language They don’t talk like that in Guildford Imagine travelling from Torquay for a noon kick off and finding you’ve forgotten your passport

If I've had no jab but have a negative test I can't go in. If I've been double jabbed and got the virus, I can go in no problem 🤔. I assume that a recent negative test will mean you CAN go in when the new legal framework is announced in a week or so.

The fact you have to tell the nhs if it’s positive or negative is another story 😂

About bloody time as well! If you’ve had both vaccinations whats the the big deal, no different than showing ID. It’s not as if you have to carry a piece of paper around with you, just another app on your phone. I sympathise with the ones who’re unable to have the vaccine through health or religious reasons but the ones who refuse because they think the government are trying to track you down, then bollocks to you.

And how long will it be before the two jabs are no longer considered to be fully vaxed and you're required to have the booster?
I'm double vaxed, but I'm not going to continually pump stuff into me that in all honesty, I don't really trust.

At least the covid vaccine is easier than the rabies vaccine I had when I was a Customs Officer - that was 3 vaccinations within 28 days - and I felt a damned site worse afterwards than I did with the covid vaccine!

I’d say you’re safer with it than without it. Everyone is entitled to their opinion though

This one is being pushed and pushed and pushed by people who don't seem to have an honest bone in their bodies. If they'd been remotely straight with us over the past 18 months, I probably wouldn't be so reluctant. But they haven't. I'd rather take my chances with the virus than continually be coerced into taking more and more doses of this vaccine in order to regain or retain freedoms I shouldn't be denied in the first place.

I'll keep my fingers crossed that you don't get covid or develop long covid. As well as the 2 people I know who have died from the virus, I know two who developed long covid. One of them appears to be fully recovered but the other is not yet fit to return to work despite contracting it in May 2020. I know a few people who have had minor problems with the vaccines but none who have had any lasting effects.

Game over for me if this happens I’m fully vaccinated but in no way support this People have a right to choose if they take a vaccination, it’s not proven to stop the spread, and I can’t be a part of it . People need to make a stand Oh behave. Attention seeker. If you’re jabbed, show the app. Simple. Can’t be a part of it my left testicle People do have a right. But I tell ya what, those who don’t want it, steer clear of my grandad who can’t have the vaccine on health grounds. The last part of what you said is confusing. People who haven't had the jab stay clear but people who have had it and can pass it on are fine?

Wait until you find out most people are registering negative lft tests without actually doing the test to gain the same status as you. Can you send me a selfie when you do? 😂

Unless they’ve got a tampon strapped to their face. Is how I understood it.

Well no you can't, if you have had two jabs and contract it by law you still have to self isolate as of yet. So bascailly it doesn't matter if you been jabbed or not then, which I agree, no problem with with testing. So say I've been double jabbed I can go in fine I haven't had a test, I could have it,I've done nothing wrong and pass it on. Apparently the symptoms are less So unless everyone is testing regularly the jabs mean nothing.

Yes you could mate but if you know you have it that's different all together, it's not perfect by any stretch mate but as long as I'm clear I'll go.
