Souttar motm all day long, but Brown did improve massively in the second half and actually looked a little like a footballer in the end. I wouldn’t argue with the Souttar view tbh mate as he too was excellent....how good is he on the ball We're going to be in a bad place soon when the time comes to replace him and Collins, I'm dreading it.

He put the best balls into the middle all game, probably as many as Clarke in his previous outings..He's never going to be pretty on the eye, but he could become a very effective player for us.

Really? He kept getting played into good positions and then fucking them up. He’s still raw but a good run in his correct position would benefit that lad wouldn’t it? The lad he was up against looked decent too I thought? No. He shouldn’t be anywhere near the starting XI. He never stopped tonight and credit for that but there was the one ball to Fletcher and nothing else despite being played in countless times by Powell.

His running really helps, hes just a very poor footballer. Harry Soutter was absolutely magnificent. He's got pace and a decent engine. His passing and crossing are actually pretty good. His weaknesses are that, sometimes, he loses possession too easily and his decision making is sometimes poor - like that time in the first half when he made a great run into the area with the ball and put in a very weak shot at the keeper when both Fletcher and MaClean were in much better positions to score. I don't agree that he is just a poor footballer. He is a potentially decent footballer with some things he does well and with a couple of weaknesses which our coaches should try to coach out of him. I certainly haven't written him off. I would certainly say he is likely to progress more quickly if he is played wide rather than in the centre.

We look more threatening with him playing and he takes a bit of pressure off fletcher. If only he had a bit more quality when he gets in threatening positions. Could be a confidence thing. I’d start him again on Saturday.

His endeavour gave us something different and once we worked out that run in behind the CB he was very effective and unlucky not to get a couple of assists. Technically he’s probably not much better than me. He’s dreadful and if he was more assured on the ball he could have scored a couple today. His crossing is weirdly effective too. How was it unlucky? He just kept messing the situations up?

MOTM a stretch, but he was much better tonight.
Playing on the right definitely suits him more than being up top. He does have something about him, even if it is just hard work and a bit of pace, and at least he seems to get involved in the game more when he's wide.

Yeah, thought Souttar was head-and-shoulders MOM. But Brown's drive in the last half hour was excellent. I do find him strangely likeable, despite his shortcomings because he always really puts it in He's definitely better on the right, the most worrying thing is that the manager thinks he's a striker.

Put more dangerous balls across the box than Clarke and Matondo in their appearances, never going too be pretty, but could become a very effective player for us.

Sorry I thought he was truly awful. He offers nothing but a little effort. No threat at all. His full back won every one to one they had. Personally I think this thread is cos we won and had we lost probably never seen. He is one of the worse footballers I’ve seen. Infuriated to watch.

He’s a player we need to back rather than ridicule and slate like school children.

Best footballer in the 21st century. Shame he did not win the Balon D'Or. Maybe next season?
Well okay, he did okay today but much better than his previous matches.

Souttar best player on the park by a mile.
Brown 9/10 for effort and desire.
1/10 for quality.
5 over all.

Puts a decent ball across the box, and usually picks a man out with his cut backs. Also Powell played him in really well tonight a few times. Yes Powell played him in for two great chances and his poor touch wasted both of them. Apart from the goal those two magnificent through balls from Powell were the best things in the whole game.

Souttar best player on the park by a mile. Brown 9/10 for effort and desire. 1/10 for quality. 5 over all. Souttar was good. Smith was good. Thompson was decent enough I thought. Powell was easily the best player on the pitch though. The only one with any real quality, particularly at the right end of the pitch.

Souttar for me. Brown did well last 25 mins. He did well in the last minute clearing a the ball everything else was miss controlled scuffed or misplaced.

Really? He kept getting played into good positions and then fucking them up. His running and movement made those positions Bayern and he put balls into the right areas especially the pull back for Fletcher I remember some wag on the Boothen End defending Martin Carruthers in the same way. End product was as wank as Browns
