Jollies, Razzmatazz, Kinetic. The Polish Club, the Tuns, The Roebuck. Underneath the Arch, The Rendevous. Drinking in Dresden (Longton really) Drinking in Normacott (Longton really). As a Longton High lad, now living in Leek ;D I loved Longton in the 70s, going Highlights in the mid-80s. Going the delights of Hickorys then Shellys for a fun night out. If I visit Tesco I have to have a walk round the market as it brings back happy memories when I was a kid. Also worked in Longton for 11 years but company located to Telford. Now about Telford. What a backward place that is

What was the name of the Curry house round the back of the bus station, Also anyone remember the old dear who used to go in the old Hut, Think her name was Alice, She was always on the scrounge for a pint or fag. Someone told me she was now dead, Shame really she was a real Character. Curry house was called Chancery Grill originally, and as for Alice, what a pisser! She became part of the furniture in the Thorley before she croaked it, I'l never forget her growly gritty voice, "get us half, giz a fag!" and if you refused it was fuck off fuck off bastard ha!

I was in the old hut once when she tried to sell me an old teddy she must have found in the gutter, She gave me a rate bollocking when i wouldnt buy it for a quid. I remember she would wear a long fur coat, God knows where she had it from but it looked like she found that in the gutter with the teddy.

Right, being born n bred neckend.....Edensor High, and the regular friendly rivalry with Bishop Bright (Thomas More as it is). Before the A50 was opened, class watering holes like The Bridge, The Shamrock and The Waterloo, and Stans Butchers which was by Beswicks. On the day of my dads funeral, watching the Owd Hut empty with mourners waiting for the arrival into Central Hall...Pre match days pint in The Union early doors. Shelleys/Amnesia on a Friday or Saturday. The annual Christmas Tree which is always was the roughest looking tree ever. Being banned from Steeles a few times by cigar chomping wide boy Terry, who deserved his bandits to get fiddled. Watching the Old Normid burn one night, and a few days later some entrepeneurs selling smoke damaged stock. Hard town, gritty town, but plenty of happy memories & good folk to boot.

The bloke in Steeles looked like the grizzly bugger captain out of Jaws, played by Robert Shaw. The arcade across the road was Silver Coin, next to Partners & a card shop. That game was OutRun,which had about 5 different curcuits, and ended in Miami. Also had an Indian Jones arcade game which was a cracker.

I used to frequent the Robin Hood, tuesdays and thursdays for rock night lol Occasionally went down to The Shamrock as well, but most of my time was served in the Wagon in meir. As for dear old Alice, I remember her getting a bungalow down in Blurton, they were doing something to her central heating so the council dropped off a couple of radiators and pipes on the friday afternoon to start work on the monday. Come monday morning she had flogged the lot and was ratarsed. She also used to stand outside the bungalow and flash her rather saggy tits to the passing bus drivers

Gal? The Gal that lived on Meir Park and had a big rottie?? I really want to see those pics hehe.
I knocked around with some glam lads from up on weston road, one was named Daz. I ran a sideline painting up leathers for beer money, you may recall me from the 2 jackets I owned one was painted up with the Little Angels devils face and the other had a massive Mickey Mouse from Fantasia painted on the back.
