he looks a good player but not a goalscorer If he was a goal scorer we would have no chance of signing him You either have to hit lucky or nurture one through the academy Yep. Plus the idea a striker has to be a goalscorer or he's no good is very 1986.

I'm guessing that he's good in the air being a target man and we have signed a free kick specialist. Could work out okay.

When I’ve seen KD, he hasn’t looked out of place in the Prem. Just not the smoothest finisher. But every other aspect of his game is top quality.
Villa mate reckons he’ll be “very good” in the Championship but he’s a bit of a sick note. Got injured in their friendly last night.

Is he quick? I thought we were looking for someone similar to Campbell in case he has any further injury problems, and to play alongside him and Fletcher if all fit?

My villa mate says he’s well liked there an has a good mentality an so for a striker who hasn’t scored many yet an still is liked says a lot about him I think he will do well for us with the right service

I've said he looks a good player I just think we need a goalscorer more than anything else maybe he will score gaols, happy days if he does maybe he's in addition to another signing who is a goals scorer, again happy days concern is he would be only striker signing & we are still short of goals (even if he plays well)

From what I've seen he's certainly mobile, have seen him nip into the channels and put a good ball over as well as causing problems himself.

Must say, I'm quite excited by this one. I'm on the same page as you mate. I read quite a bit on him on the villa forum the other week when he was linked and there is quite a few who reckon his career could really take off if he gets a run of games somewhere.

Strong as an ox, never stops running and quick. Half the Championship has been chasing him for two years. That's got to mean something!

6 Championship clubs wanted him in January.
And it's now 9.

Maybe he will score one or two goals during the first few months of the season, then on Friday April 15th, at home against Bristol City, he will score two absolute worldies and put us on track for automatic promotion.
Getting ahead of myself now but maybe he will follow that up by scoring the winner in our first home game back in the Prem.

I think there is a huge amount of potential in Davies. Vrancic can find him with a killer pass and Fletcher can provide the knock-on’s etc. Not sure there’s a lot to lose.

Davies is nothing like Stein Dave Regis would be a better comparison , pace & power but not a goalscorer Regis was a useful player alongside Stein & not useful without him

6 Championship clubs wanted him in January. And it's now 9. Can he play wide in a front 3 or is he purely a central striker? He does sound very much like a big, powerful No.9. Can't see him offering much out wide, although you never know. Pulis did play Cresswell there! What sort of player is he - and what could Stoke expect from him?As mentioned, he's a back-to-goal merchant who enjoys pinning centre-halves back in order to set his teammates in front of him. He's heavily left-footed as well but has close control whenever the ball's fizzed - or lofted - into him. An old-school centre-forward who loves the ball played into his feet would be the best way to describe him. The coaching staff at Villa love him, though, with Smith previously saying: "Keinan bullies them (his teammates) in training."

If he's coming in to play alongside Kutcha, good news kutcha is who we want not keinan Davis I'd take both, one on loan and buy kutcha, two different types of players apparently, could pair up well, chuck Fletcher into the mix, sounds good to me. Not particularly keen on signing a non goalscoring striker only though

It's a sensible option for a second robust centre forward rather than relying on our mid-30s one.
