Welsh press seemed fairly confident though.
Where would he play more?

If it's a competition between the two and MON can persuade then he's done a cracking job.
Their manager is the obvious choice to send any player to in this division so if we can beat them then he's done a cracking job.

Wonder if it's possible we've stepped up interest (in addition to Matondo) after the Fletcher injury?
If he came here, the path for game time seems wide open.
Would he get the same opportunity at Swansea?

Yup. If he can't be disciplined at his own club, I doubt he'd suddenly become the model pro at a loan club.
We need goals though.
If he is a handlful, get Ryan on his case and write some penalty clauses into the loan and get on with it (or get in with someone else in the frame). We need reinforcements up top asa(f'ng)p.

Obafemi is Irish born and bred so if MON can use his much vaunted charm of the blarney stone we could just be in business !

Yeah - they seem to have been playing a front 2 of Ayew and Jamal Lowe (who has got 6 in his last 6 games!)
So he might fancy his chances of dislodging Jacob Brown a bit more?

No idea, who's their main striker? Andre Ayew isn’t it? Ah yeah, he can play all along the front line though can't he? So can see how he could get games there.

Don’t forget the Gunn factor, we have a good relationship with Southampton and Gunn could help in swaying him this way.

I've never heard of him. What type of striker is he He could be a goal every 2 games striker. but once they put a Stoke shirt on, it becomes a goal every 7/8 games.

Mmmmm...I don't know if I'd be racing to get Obafemi in. He's only a kid, and already he has rubbed up the wrong way his club manager and the Irish national team manager. Considering the dressing room atmosphere that MO'N has stated publicly that he had to deal with when he joined the club, does he really need to bring upon himself another potentially difficult situation, especially with a kid without much pedigree??
This one stinks of a Premier League club looking to off-load a problem, even on a short-term basis. Give me a good hard-working pro like Glenn Murray anytime.

Would he get the same opportunity at Swansea? That’s my take on it. Don’t they already have good options? With us he’d have guaranteed game time.

Michael Obafemi at Soton. 975 minutes. 0.39 xg per 90 (pretty good). All chances bar one inside the box, some decent ones as well, nothing from range (good). 0.14 expected assists per 90 (ok). Hardly any crosses (less than 2 every 3 full 90 mins), suggests he links well with other forwards. Predominantly right footed.

Personally think Swansea would be a better fit for him as there won't be as much expectation and pressure giving the options they already have available.
However with ffp restrictions this could be a good option for us too. Just feel though it may be alot of pressure on the young lad and would rather have someone proven at this level if possible.

Do we think any of our more established players will leave in January, say Clucas, Allen etc?.

Wasn't that impressed by what I saw of him but he's a better bet than any other option we have at the moment. I think going out on loan may alert him to the fact that he can be done without and might help to convince him to get his house in order.
