The mighty Groundhogs. Very loud in a small polytechnic hall. Life changing - I went on to see them four times, aswell as many others. I'm nearly deaf now🤔

Fleetwood Mac at Bingley Hall, Stafford. I think it was in 1979 but could be earlier?

Feeder at Bristol Fidders in 2000, because I won tickets! I was delighted to win those tickets because they were my favourite band. I wanted to go to V2000 that year but had no one to go with, though there was an almighty clash - I think it was Feeder and James at the same time.

Queen at The Cow Shed Stafford... Why....Because they were awesome.
Next one was Showaddywaddy.
Why...Because back in the day I was pals with Ray Reardon's kids, and via Willie Thorne, who I think shared the same manager as Showaddywaddy we got VIP tickets...Apart from getting a drumstick ( real one not a chicken one ) it was wank.

Status Quo at Viccy Hall in 1973 (possibly that concert with Savoy Brown as support band). Next one in 1973 was Mott the Hoople at the Viccy Hall, with Queen as support band.
Edit: Just googled those 1973 tour dates. Status Quo played the Viccy Hall on 4th October 1973 indeed with Savoy Brown. Mott The Hoople played the Viccy Hall with Queen on 18th November 1973.

SLF were my favourite band for a good few years.

Boston, I think around 1978 Bingley Hall by any chance, if so, I was there! My first was Climax Blues Band, Viccy Hall, around 76 I think. Couldn't get it right just in the charts! I was gobsmacked at how good live music was, loved going concerts ever since.

Went by train and walked all the way from Stafford station - fortunately got a lift back to the station after the gig. I saw the Climax Blues Band at Viccy Hall as well - small world isn't it !

I also saw Thin Lizzy at Bingley Hall on their Black Rose tour, and then saw them again fairly soon afterwards at Trentham Gardens. I can't remember which concert it was, but one of the support bands were fairly awful, and the crowd weren't at all happy, when all of a sudden a beer can hit the lead singer smack in the face and they stopped their set straight away. From the sound it made when it hit the singer I would say the beer can was nearly full.

The Police - 1980 - Bingley Hall - we slept on the pavement outside Mike Lloyd's in Newcastle to get tickets. Looking back on it we probably didn't even need to the line wasn't that long, but it's the dedication that counts.

First concert 1977 - Gary Glitter. To be fair, we didn’t know at that point. Last concert 2019. - The Dead South.
Absolutely worlds apart.
