£7M + add ons (which would be based on some kind of success as such it was £7m) And that's the clubs (Jones) fault not Vokes fault would also criticise Jones & O'Neill for playing him as a lone striker, in a pair with crosses & or balls launched up he's of use , on his own he isn't without that his faults are exacerbated can remember 5ft 5" Ian Painter being slaughtered for not winning the endless POMO launches in the vague direction of his head, with Vokes it was the reverse, we rarely got the ball near his head & had no one near him for flick ons literally playing to a players weaknesses bit like playing Tymon at left back in a back four or asking MacLean to play left back Admittedly we didn’t play to his strength, however he didn’t show any strengths either. Awful player for Stoke Thought Vokes started very brightly for us, but then everything went wrong for him. Why, maybe because of style of play, but also Rowett played him up top alone in an attacking three. Ince also showed much more promise under Rowett, maybe he should go to Millwall too!

I agree we never played to his strengths. We should have opened his doors and hung our shirts and trousers inside him.

A smaller version of their own super heavyweight perhaps? If he does go, the announcement should be pinned to the top of this board for a good while to raise spirits!

Vokes had one of his few half-decent performances against Wycombe didn't he? (It might have been his only performance of the season that could be described as being better than 'embarrassing'.)
They'll probably be excited about signing him, with him being an international and former Premier League player and all that. the poor fuckers.

Vokes and Akinfenwa together - there are 90 year olds with more mobility. They will be like two dumper trucks stuck in the opposition half that the ball randomly bounces off.

They'll think a new fracking company has suddenly set-up in the area. If Wycombe can just pass us the 10M or so we frittered away, that would be awesome.

Well they’ll both be at the Chairboys, I’m sure the rules would allow them have a stool each in the opposition half while they wait for someone to ping it up in the air for them.

I remember The Daily Mail doing a piece on our youngsters and tipping Dave McAughtrie as the one to watch. I think a player called Ford also but can't remember him
