I still can't believe as fans (me included) how much of his shit we ate, how much time we all gave him and how easily we went on him for so long - even though he clearly had no idea what he was doing. If he'd have stayed a few more games we'd have gone down

I'm an honorary Hull fan until 5.
Get NJ out of this division, please.

At the end of the day i don't think he wanted it to go as it did, so maybe cut him some slack...One thing for sure, i certainly won't be getting carried away next season regardless of how MOn says we are going to be better or whatever, just not falling for it until it happens especially after Nathan's promises and being sucked into thinking we were gonna storm the league.

I don't harbor any ill will to Nath, tried his best but it wasn't good enough.
If he genuinely didn't give a fuck, I would care a lot more. As it happens I think he will be in League One next season where he deserves.
Best of luck to him, though I don't care all that much either way.

If he'd have stayed a few more games we'd have gone down I think there were a few things Stoke fans were working through. All the seething rage at Rowett and crazy backing for Jones. I think it must have been to balance out how passive we were as we were sleep walking towards relegation from the Prem. We got it out of our systems and look to have come out the other side with a proper manager to boot.

I never understood why many Stoke fans thought Nath was "likeable" because he seemed an unhinged and intense nutter from the off.

I think he gave everything and worked to the best of his ability. I wish him luck in the future, hopefully he has learnt from his mistakes. He didn't fail purposely.
If you want to blame someone then the buck stops with the owners, they hired him and kept him for much longer than he probably deserved.

You nearly wrecked our great club. Hopefully you get your just desserts and go down this afternoon He did nearly wreck us and I did feel a bit of a mug eventually for backing him. But I don't reckon he was here with any ill intent. He was badly out of his depth in hindsight and also dealing with a lot of problems that the senior management had allowed to fester inside the club. Problems that are still here inside the club. He tried but ultimately failed very badly.

I never understood why many Stoke fans thought Nath was "likeable" because he seemed an unhinged and intense nutter from the off. Makes you wonder why our board ever thought he was capable of turning the club around, some managers lose the dressing room this weasel never even found it, the players had no respect for him which was no surprise, young, athletic players, a team to be proud of then signs the slowest LB in the World and a steaming pile of shit alongside him

He should have gone at the end of last season it was obvious he was drowning in the cess pit of his own making, all the piss and wind amounted to fcuk all a total and utter fraud and our board fell for it hook line and sinker.

I don't bear him any ill will, however he deservedly owns the title of "worst manager in the club's history", having easily overtaken absolutely all the other contenders (of which there are a few).

Was like a Cotterill appointment all over again, young, highly thought of going places manager from a lower league club who turned out being a fraud & nearly costing us relegation in the process!

I kind of have a weird way of feeling about him, kind of like a dog thats shat on the rug, you get pissed off but cant stay mad at it. But like said dog, better off when it gets re-homed. Never was the right dog, the new dog is so much better!

He tried but ultimately failed very badly. Yes, I agree with this and the contempt shown for him in this thread is quite unfair. It's not like he's a Quiterill who left us high and dry, or Rowett with his smirk. Us fans need to get a grip. NJ was a passionate but very deluded MAN, who bathed in his own misplaced sense of delusion, but his enthusiasm was so infectious that in some ways you can't blame the Board for lapping it up, cos we did too. I thank the Lord he is no longer our manager, but I hope he learns from his mistakes and gets Luton promoted back to the Championship.
