He is one of many defenders that is probably on top whack, that we could do with moving on. I honestly can't think of a solitary defender in our squad who I would want to keep. If we don't improve massively in defensive areas we will be back in the thick of trouble next year. No pace, no footballers, nobody good in the air, no depth, no competition for places, no viable left-back, only viable defenders on our books are too old. Apart from that - what problem in defence

Get rid. Big earner, we can get someone equally as good for a fraction of the wages. I'm talking at centre back too, we can get far better for far less at left back.

Without being unkind to the lad his best days are well behind him
I remember when we signed Derek Statham it was very difficult to see how he had ever played for England!

Granted he’s the worst of a bad bunch, but not for me.
His first touch is garbage and on multiple occasions puts us in trouble.

It’s a strange one with Bruno. It’s like he finds it easier defending at a higher level. I’ve watched him play brilliantly against Diego Costa, but get bullied to death by Danny Graham.

I think he's alright to be honest. Even at left back.
Still though, he'll be a huge earner, and we wouldn't offer him what he'd demand, you'd like to think. Him leaving would be best for all parties when the time is right.

I like him but he just looks like a tiring footballer most of the game. It's not easy to replace someone with his experience but he looks close to retirement.

Not for me because if O’Neill doesn’t fancy him as a centre half(which it looks like) he has to go

Ultra professional, filling in at left back all season, even though it’s not his position. Done a good job, even though he must be gritting his teeth. Centre half next season, give him a contract, Stoke. Are you for real? My most hated player for years. An absolute fraud of a player. Wouldn't send him down the vale.

This is a fuckin windup!!! He is beyond slow quite frankly a wank footballer at centre back or left back! How he’s played for Holland is beyond me! Shows you how low they went to pick him. He is massively part of the problem what has gone on here for the past 3 seasons!!! Has to go in the summer (Now) World Cup semi-finalist no less. Personally I'd give Wollscheid his job back before Bruno got another contract.

I thought he was really poor today. A liability at LB As he didn't play lb today, and as when he does he does it out of a sense of not serving his own best interests, but doing the best he can for the club, it's a bit brainless to call him a liability there. But even if offered, he's not going to sign. He's been wanting out for the last four windows, but has relunctantly decided to help out. When his contract ends, he'll be gone. I think we should offer our sincerest thanks when he goes. Compare him to some other players that wanted out and didn't get it the way they wanted. He, for one, never belonged to the bomb squad (although I think Jones had him there at first). What was our defence tonight then RB Smith CB Baath CB Chester CB Indi LB ? I’m sorry but over a period of time he’s not been able to get the basics right. His attitude isn’t the worst by any means but considering his experience you just expect better. I wish him luck if he goes but his wages could be better spent elsewhere.

He needs to leave to freshen up his career.
Expect him to be in the Champions League semi-finals next season and be star performer. With the curse of SCFC lifted his career will probably resume on its previous trajectory.

I can see for myself that Bruno isn't exactly passionate about playing for us and it shows, but at least he turns up...sometimes! If he is a liability who would you have in his place as lb? McClean, Ward, Tymon? Take your pick.

We need to be aiming for better than “making do.”

There aren't that many who are good, and none of them that are are looking to waste their career at our place. When we signed Tymon we might have made something of him, but with little coaching and even fewer chances to play some sequence of matches, he too has gone to waste.

When he first came to Stoke he was good. Then his performances dropped off. He can't be accused of throwing his dummy out of the pram for not trying, but he'll never make a left back in a million years and we need better central defenders than he is now. So he has to go. When he goes, he won't be looked on by me as someone I've disliked.

The kind of player we dont need. He can't be arsed to even disguise the fact that he can't be arsed.
I dread to think what he earns.
And, he's not very good.

I think there are others that need moving on before Indi and I doubt anyone else will want him on his wages, so we are likely to be stuck with him till the end of contract. Best option is probably to keep him as a squad player for cover till his contract runs out.
What is it with this club that we loaned Indi for a season and he was very good, so we bought his contract after Porto messed us about and welched on the deal. Consequently he went back to Porto, but eventually they came round and we signed him, having missed pre-season. Subsequently he was never as good as his loan season and we have seen a steady deterioration since, but that is hardly his fault as Jones had little use for him. Indi is not the only player who starts well with us and then deteriorates.
