It was his direct replacement. Of course it’s worthy of a mention. The sub made us so much worse and unsteady at the back. I agree. Doesn't mean it was wrong to take collins off. As it happens, the 2nd half has made him look like a colossus. It was. Batth was playing worse and like I’ve said there was no need to sub anyone!

After a decent first half, BMI was rancid 2nd half.

There is also a thread about Chester. What's your point? Are we really going to spend a night defending one shit performance by saying someone else was shitter. In the shit stakes I'll raise you Sam clucas to your James Chester. I'm saying there are experienced players who have put us in this position and got rid of two managers in the process. Collins has been brought in from the relative cold, played no worse than any other player over periods of this season and he has a thread dedicated to him. Do I think it's harsh? Yeah just a bit. I'm not blind Dave, I know how bad he was. As I type this, Leeds have just scored their fifth. We conceded one with Collins on the pitch, four with the experienced lads on. So collins only defence is a) that he's young and b) at least he's not james chester. I can live with that to be honest. At least collins has potential. The other 3 centre halves that played today have no redeeming attributes.

Not his best half but did it merit bring on that on loan melt Chester! If he wasn’t injured talking him off at ht was a poor decision for me. Anyway I’m off to punch a few walls

Surely a better option is BMI in the middle and Clucas at LB. BMI is too slow to play LB.

So that 2 chances. Hardly a battering. The biggest issue was our complete inability led by Batth to make a pass.

I'm saying there are experienced players who have put us in this position and got rid of two managers in the process. The defence of him Dave is a chronic lack of game time, and what limited game time he has had recently he's been hung out to dry at right back. He got done all over the first half through pure youthful exuberance. It happens with young players, he's 19 years old. The way to combat that is to give him game time and proper game time in his natural position but how could we do that when the manager went all in on James Chester? What game time he has had I can't really recall him costing us many if any goals yet with James Chester, Danny Batth, BMI and tonight with Tommy Smith (All four of them either in their thirties, or close to it with hundreds of games under their belts) I can write a book of. How can the manager stand there in his interview with a straight face and say that Collins was subbed because he struggled after watching the four experienced lads just try and catch a left winger offside virtually on the edge of their own six yard box whilst shipping a further four goals between them? The manager should hang his head in shame - he's completely mis-managed Collins from day one.

We were poor first half but I thought we were holding Leeds quite comfortably despite the stupid penalty and double goal line blocks from Batth and McClean. It just needed the half time break to settle the players and remind them of the original game plan. MON fucked up, he brought on a player hopelessly out of form and disrupted the defensive unit to such an extent Leeds could have quite easily won by 7 or 8. MON was equally as wank as the players tonight. In my eyes that substitution shows that Collins is a better option at centre back than either Batth or Chester.
