Pretty much written off as soon as he arrived by those at the club I was told. You can see why too when he's played for the 23s. But he's competitive and a decent enough footballer, he will put his all in. He likes a foul and a whinge at the ref.

Wow, we will have a completely ginger left side with McLean and Clucas as well. Has that ever happened? #Gingerpower. Firepower

I see Luke Garbutt is now a free agent. Always thought he was a good left back but I guess he needs to be brought up to speed
As for Corrigan there’s one thing i know. He cannot be worse than Ward or BMI

Who? Better options in the plural no less. I'm a fan of Tymon, but he's too nervous to be thrown into relegation dogfights. He's had one hour under O'Neill who praised him after the game, but then never used him again. Not exactly confidence building. We might play him out of desperation, but we may count the cost at a heavy price. Indi, Smith or Edwards. Tymon is piss poor and I'd rather see Corrigan play tbh because at least we don't know how it will end so that's exciting BMI - by reputation yes, by latest form no Smith - recently restored, then promptly dropped again Edwards - banished from the first team It seems we have options, but not better ones.

Our future is the academy players in the championship or league one. Unless any of the first team players are willing to bust their guts to keep us up. MON needs to drop those unwilling to preform and or look at which players have the skills needed to win. In his chosen style of play. From the first team and the academy. Sadly that means dropping anywhere between 12 and 15 players!

If he is being lined up to start, his tweet was pretty silly for a start. I get that he's probably excited to the point of almost wetting his pants but does it not give a heads up to the opposition in some way, shape or form? Surely such things should be kept very quiet (I get that his tweet can be seen to mean absolutely anything by the way but seeing as this thread is about it meaning he will be involved on Saturday, my view is that its a little silly). Don’t think it will really make much difference mate. They’re going to be targeting our left hand side whoever we play there.

?.....if he does cut the lad some slack eh [/quote Well, if he plays, after Ward, Corrigan will be welcomed like a conquering hero, so at least he will have goodwill on his side. However what's this new attitude to "thinking outside the box" ! A young left back, picked to play the left full back position! What's going on!.

BMI is fine at LB for me, but being a centre half being played out of position it is always going to carry an element of risk combined with a lack of forward playing nous.
If MON decides to play A N Other at LB then why not play BMI in his true position - centre half? Apart from a fully fit Ryan (as if) he is the best one on our books and if it means Batth or Chester dont get a game then I'm all over it...
I know the haters will disagree, but right now we need the best players playing in their rightful positions and rolling their sleeves up.

Christ we’re desperate. Biggest game since the last relegation and we’re now looking at untried kids. This from the leagues richest football club. Nice one. The process in full swing.

BMI has played left back on and off throughout his time here, so yes he has a reputation, and at first it was good. But not now.

He was playing lb already under Hughes, and also in a back three for Holland where he was expected to make runs down the left. I would describe him as a decent lb. Problem is he's really not motivated playing for us; hasn't been for a while but was still able to occasionally do decently for us, but not now. I wonder if he even trained during lockdown, beyond the bare minimum. He doesn't look fit in neither body nor mind.

Prefer to see Joe Corrigan , in goal. Seriously I'm not convinced at this. Massive gamble, the symbols could literally mean anything on his tweet I met Joe Corrigan in Est Est Est once in Knutsford. He asked me who I supported and the poor fella looked like he was having Vietnam style flashbacks.
