I am a complete dinosaur when it comes to stream and download, but I was quite surprised how straightforward the whole process was.
Credit where its due. Well done Stoke

HD quality for 90 minutes with no buffering or weird website problems at kick off time. It was probably as close to perfect as you could get, minus the performance.

Pretty much frozen for 35 minutes, a few seconds here and there, left it on, then all of a sudden fine.
Anyone, any ideas why that may have happened, just so I can prevent it happening in future.

Credit where credit is due. Not forgetting the ticket office staff for all the hard work in the week sorting as many problems as possible. They just work there so can only work with the tools they have been given.

I was watching it on my TV’s web browser. Might try it on the computer next time and see if it’s any better.

Pleased to hear all went well.
Hopefully the dust has now settled and I will attempt to log on for next weeks stream.
I am a IT dinosaur and was put off by all the problems people were reporting last week.
Fingers crossed and taking deep breaths. 😀⚓️

It all worked perfectly from the start, but HD it was not - did I do something wrong? Laptop plugged into TV with HDMI When you plug the cable into your TV the graphics card on the laptop is having to power a screen much bigger than it was designed for which is likely the cause. You can maybe make it better by closing the lid on the laptop so that it only shows through the TV, but beyond that there isn't much else you can do. Other than that it could be network related if you have a poor connection. However if it is HD when viewing just on the laptop its likely the graphics card.

Graphics card is Nvidia Geoforce 820M We have 30 Mbps broadband I have a 5m HDMI cable, will maybe try the shorter one next time (?) In the bottom right corner of the screen when watching I noticed an option which was to do with quality (I think the max setting was 720?) - mine was set to auto. Thanks anyway.

You can normally change the behaviour when closing the laptop lid by opening up the power options menu. There's normally a setting you can change.

It’s no coincidence that the stream improved after MON was forced to watch it while in isolation.

Watched on TV via HDMI, no probs, or so I thought, until just before we scored. Had 2 texts both saying "Get in"...seems I was about 40 seconds behind others

An 820M is more than capable of running HD content. Should even be able to decode 4K on it. Change your power settings. You can disable screen off when lid closes. Also set it to High Performance when plugged in and Balanced on battery. Size of the external TV doesn't matter. If you run something in 720p on a 42" TV, it's still only 720p, the size of the tele or whatever makes no difference (but a big tele on 720p will look naff).

Couldn’t understand why the club said Thankyou for your purchase, paste your code onto this link so I spent from 2:30 till after KO time looking for the damn code, logged into StokeCity + and the game/stream came through automatically, just a bit confusing? Otherwise good!

Credit to the club. No problems logging in and the stream was very good quality and helped by Radio Stoke coverage.
I had final score on the TV with scores showing the wife walked in said losing then (score on teleprinter on tv) a good 30 seconds later on my stream Reading scored.
Overall an excellent service. Lets hope the standard stays at this level.
