What a way to start back! Perfection's for another day but for strength and persistence and all the qualities we need to stay up, bring it on - we'll only get better from here. 9 from me and.... in the incredibly unlikely event you somehow were there, add plenty of *********

6 at best.
A change of formation from when we were hitting our stride?
I know players are rusty and not match fit, but no need to change things again.
The continued selection of Ince. Shite.

Given that starting XI was chosen when he was suffering Covid delusions, a relief inducing final seconds equaliser, 6.

5 very poor starting line up. When Ryan went off should have brought Tommy Smith on.
Just need to stay up by hook or by crook

I think 9 is perhaps a bit steep though. Surely what you're describing is the very basics of his job? Poor back 4. No LW. Fitness wasn't particularly impressive. Considering how bad we were a point is happily taken. 5-6 at most for me.

Positive substitutions - the table shows an away point even if the performance was very disappointing
I expect several changes in our next starting 11

5 at best, start with the 11 that finished and we would of got 3 points.

Starting with Ince means he only gets a 7 maximum as a a starter. Then deduct 2 points for starting with 4 centre backs as a back four and then deduct one more for not bringing on Smith when Shawcross went off (yet again a false dawn) and missing the opportunity of moving Collins into his natural centre half position. I'll give him one additonal point for bringing on two extra forwards and McClean, even though they were later than required. Plus one more for the late equaliser. So bottom line is a lucky 6.

3.
He's lucky to get that after hanging a young lad to dry at right back when he plainly isn't suited to it and finishing the game with McClean at left back. I won' t even rate him for Gregory at left wing near the end.
Puddled thinking and lucky to get a point.

Kept going and made the right changes
-1 for starting Ince -1 for starting formation
However given we went away with the all the new rules and self isolating that was a good point
We looked much fitter than Reading near the end

8 from me. Questionable starting line up. Poor first half where we could have gone in 2 or even 3 down. Looked more solid second half and certainly knocked on the door for long periods. The introduction of Vokes was obviously a influence on the game as he caused problems with a bit more physicality and we got our dividends for keeping on going. A bit of Karma for all the late fuck ups we have made ourselves after dominating games and getting hit with a sucker punch.

Was surprised when looked at Reading Form prior to lockdown....they re not an awful side...out played us 1st half...drab 2nd.....when time came for tactical kitchen sink - it paid off!!....MON has got bigger balls than previous managers in recent years - #8

7.5
They started strong but we changed it and could see the equaliser coming. Missed Allen massively

3.
Stupid idea to have 4 centre-halves.
Tactics were all wrong. Campbell struggles by himself but he struggled, even more, to pick up the classic Shawcross-pulis hoof it up to the other keeper.
At least he did give him support up top.
Ince was wank and needs seriously fucking off - He definitely would've got booed today on that performance.
Thompson wasn't working either.
We're super lucky to get a point there and it paints over the cracks that was a garbage performance.
Subs were the main reason he gets a 3.

4 from me. Any manager that puts 4 centre halves across the back and expect them to control skilful wingers has not done his research properly. We were lucky to get a draw as they had a blatant penalty not given and they hit the post.

9 is insanely generous! 5 at best from me. Completely unbalanced starting xi and 9 times out of ten playing like that we'd have lost. McClean made a big difference when he came on, no idea why he didn't start. That said, good that he gave Sorensen a run. We've had years of ignoring younger players so good to see them being a chance.

We would have lost this game with NJ in charge
Even when we are not playing well
He some how says the right things , does the right things , and we salvage a point or get a last minute winner
I don't know how he does it .He has inherited some poor players
You can't polish a turd but if MoN can keep us up , he is my manager of the season and a borderline miracle worker

Pretty sure we hit the post as well

4 for me. strange defensive lineup. no creativity in midfield, not feeding the strikers. Demotivated sloppy performance all around. What was the game plan? It was all too easy for Reading.

It must at least be a 7. We could or should have been at least 2 down at half time with the amount of crosses allowed to come in. However, positive substitutions enabled us to create more in the second half.
Stream was good and I warned Stoke FC I would be going to the ground if I could not get the stream working.
NB I live 5 miles from the ground!

7 from me. Some sort of a strange starting 11 but he got it right in the end and we rescued a game that was as good as lost.
OS.
