Why was he so convinced he was going to get Covid ? His wife had been vomiting but not Covd symptoms, he had a 4-year-old kid but was sure he could drive 250 miles without stopping? On the 2nd April they were supposedly both suffering from Covid but it was his wife who went in the ambulance with the child, not the available childcare he had available, and so potentially spread the virus around the hospital? Barnard Castle- utter horseshit. Scotland's CMO resigned becuase of visiting her second home. All Cummings has to do is spout some bollocks about testing his eyesight and the faithful say that's okay then .

I haven't seen Dominic Cummings or anybody associated to him, claim that his child is autistic. Are you sure the reports are accurate? It was all over twitter in lots of places they didn't say anything but they dealt with the reason they were there as a test to see if he was up to to drive back to London, you can obviously believe that or not but its plausible, the fact that all the press are now saying he went there to test his eyes when he didn't say that...

Ah, didn't catch the midnight bit. I don't read newspapers (occasional Sentnull aside), I'd rather be uninformed than misinformed. His story's a bit of a stretch in parts, and I can see why people are suspicious, before the briefing I didn't know about the visit to the hospital for his son, if that stacks up then I can sort of understand the rest of it. You seen whats happened outside his house this weekend, his son stuff is just to explain where he drove once whilst isolating not really to do with where he went there, that was more to do pretty much everyone he worked closely with had it, if he had it his wife certainly would, friends and family in london older and more at risk than his young neices if needed. People can believe it or not I suspect the people who hated him still do those who believe him still do and the media will obsess over this froth for many more days whilst real important shit goes on. He’ll have a police directive. End of...

As I say, if the hospital corroborate the visit then his story has some credibility, if they come out and deny it, that's a different story. Has DC actually been told he had it? I can't see anywhere that says he was tested.

This is not true. I had the virus. My partner did not. Driving for half an hour each way to test your eyesight and abilty to drive is stupid. Having your child in the car when you are not sure that you are able to drive safely is stupid and would suggest a lack of care for the child. Cummings is not stupid. Barnard Castle is a lovely tourist town to spend a spring afternoon. Cummings is clearly a liar who has nothing but contempt for the people of the UK. He is an over privilged member of the elite who believe that they are above the law ans any moral code of behaviour that they believe "ordinary" people should be bound by. I'm sure you have no interest in any of the real facts or principles involved in the case as long as your hero and his puppet Boris remain in government.

The Government clearly wanted this Cummings story closed down.
Their tactic was to give the journalists Cummings for an hour or so after which Johnson said, in his subsequent pitch, that’s your lot.
They know the haters are still going to hate. They don’t care about them. They hope the media realise the scalp they want ain’t coming (or possibly, I could say Cumming) at which point they’ll give up.
It remains to be seen if this is successful.
I suspect it will be - unless there is some more dirt emerges.
Wednesday’s PMQs will be interesting though. Will Starmer still go for Cummings?

I think in his shoes, and under this amount of pressure, I'd have had an antibody test done, it's surely not a big ask since his story hinges on it.

Ok almost certainly would have caught it, the rest blah blah blah blah blah and in case you missed it the majority of 80 means the next election is what 2024 or 2025 so staying in government is not an issue.

Fuck me, Followyoudown's working overtime for his boys tonight, isn't he?
Referring to any old retweeted bollocks as 'evidence'...
Doesn't matter, the real outcome is that lockdown's over, everybody. Go wherever you fucking like, Dom's made it utterly unenforceable.
Game on, cheers, Dom!

Sorry I dont properly read you first post where you asked if it was accurate, I don't know tbere has since being posts saying the claim originated from a now deleted twitter account, think it was jim watterson who said this so there is no confirmation or denial whether the kid is autistic and that doesn't seem to be relevant to what he has said are the reasons for going up there or driving to the castle.

I do not think that there will be a PMQs on Wednesday. Bullshitter is due to appear before the Liaison Committee though. That could be interesting if Alexander turns up. All members are being issued with waders as they will have to get through piles of bullshit.

Who cares he's one of thousands if not hundreds of thousands to have been naughty and bent/ broken the rules big deal. This I can categorically confirm. Second homers have been rocking up here in this part of Mid Wales since this all started, it's all well and good Drakeford standing up and pontificating about how tight and secure Wales is but it ain't so. Three Chinese tourists yesterday looking for a hotel, a work colleague explained to them that they couldn't stay. Police were informed. No sign of any hacks from national newspapers.
