I spoke to someone from Lulworth in Dorset this morning and they were certainly concerned about the number of visitors descending on their coast and they also expressed the opinion that the "floodgates" are now open and the waters cannot be turned back. And this situation is almost entirely down to the irresponsible actions of one man, although they themselves were a little relieved that "the odious little man" does not seem to have actually visited Dorset this week himself.

I get all the indignation regarding Cummings although I don’t go along with all of it. But this got my goat up yesterday when BBC was interviewing a woman at the beach in Dorset that was way overcrowded and social distancing almost non existent. She had travelled with her family from London and her justification was "why should we keep to social distancing rules when Cummings didn’t blah blah blah" . Well you brain dead moron two wrongs don’t make a right and how many people did Cummings cross infect on his journey and 2 week isolation .......an answer of zero probably. On the other hand how many people were cross infected at that beach yesterday? These people will be the first to point the finger at the Government if we go into another lock down with second wave of infections. You're right of course, but this is why BJ was so furious with Cummings. He knew it would spell the end of lockdown and people, who were already getting antsy, would say fuck this. Not justifiable obviously, but hardly surprising. The real worry is what happens if we get a second wave. I saw something in the Sunday Times yesterday that an ICU worker has been told to prepare for a big spike in intake in July and lots more deaths in August. We'll see...
