I know this has been done to death but this is the daftest game I think I've ever been to. And to this day, I still can't believe how Chambo got that cross over to Georgie Berry. Just incredible skill. Every time you watch it, it just seems impossible.
And David Moss missing that penalty. Has there ever been a bigger mental for anything that wasn't a goal for us?
Underrated goal by Big Bren as well, great technique there. Luton matches were certainly entertaining early in that season, they'd drawn 3-3 at Anfield in the previous away game. Goalie Jake Findlay went off injured and you see him having a fag in the dugout!

Can always remember the goal on his debut I think against Hull if memory serves me right🤔
McGuire... he could take a decent corner. Something we've been missing over the years
Problem was, he couldn't do anything else
I was in the Butler street paddock, still one of the most exciting games I have seen live. We were a team starting to decline at this point, Derek Parkin was defintely the slowest right back I have ever seen for us But we still had some great players Chambo, Sammy Mcilroy silky class in the middle and my all-time favourite Stoke centre half (sorry Denis) Dave Watson.
- Derek Parkin coming out for the second half wearing a rosette (did I imagine this)? - Mickey Thomas going off for stitches and coming back on
Paul Walsh was some player.
To be fair, Luton had some decent players in that team. Ricky Hill, Brian Stein and Randy Antic, even the ex-Vale manager wasn’t too bad. Anyway, what was Foxy doing? Proper keeper would never have conceded their latter goals imo.

Great game. Remember well. Got back to Bradford with my mate and was watching on tv in the pub on highlights at last orders and wouldn't leave till we saw it all.
Malachy Donaghy's goal was a bit bizarre. Stein and Walsh formed an England partnership in a game in France, badly it has to be said but were great for Luton.
Ooh Georgie Berry - was he really any good ? I can recall him just pumping it forward most of the time and an peno expert, but was he a good defender? I can't remember, can't recall him having much pace about him. Didn't he get capped for Wales?

Born in Germany but played for Wales. Always thought he was more of a personality than a great player. He once referred to Frank Stapleton as 'Frankie Baby' on MOTD after losing an FA Cup semi with Wolves so was ok with me.
IMHO it was that cross that got him in the England squad.
And the sending off cost Foxy a rumoured place in the squad if my memory is right.
I don't think that that was the dealbreaker for England, I think the Palace game on MOTD had already done for him. He had been playing great all season, and then the moment he finally got on national TV he dropped a clanger.
