Hereford had terracing on three side and very few seats on the forth! Still the same except one end is shut.

Stood in with the home fans at Gresty Rd once. 1990, we won 2-1, a bunch of us turned up at KO and despite having tickets the police said the away end was full so they stupidly shoved us in with the home fans in the shallow terrace opposite the dugouts.

[br Was going to say Burnley, I remember standing right next to a net separating home and away. Always pretty tense! John Dreyer's 94th minute equaliser, what a mental...... Yes I was at that one, superb

Sheffield United had no seats or terracing down one side of the ground as it was the Yorkshire county cricket ground, the same would have been at Northampton

I was on the side terrace at Gresty Road in 1959 when the Alex drew 2-2 with Spurs. Anyone remember the score in the replay?

Gayfield Park, the Home of Arbroath has terracing on all 4 sides of the pitch; some of which is covered.
Glebe Park, the Home of Brechin City has one side which is terraced and at the back of it is a beech hedge!

Safe standing will now feature social distancing. Two metres apart front, back and sides! They’ll be Plenty of opportunity for social distancing at our ground next season if we have to when our season ticket sales are announced, I reckon.

Doesnt the Pirelli stadium (Burton) have 3 sides of terraces on one main seat stand?

Doesnt the Pirelli stadium (Burton) have 3 sides of terraces on one main seat stand? The first game (2-2) was in January, the replay (13-2) in February. The 13-2 win is Spur's record victory.

The Kippax was the most impressive for me. Don't recall it being split either, away fans were stuck in the corner between the Kippax and Platt Lane.
Despite its dodgy surroundings I liked Maine Road

I was on The Shelf at WHL in November 1983 for the Milk Cup R3 match against Arsenal.
Hoddle scored a pen, I got pinned against an anti-crush barrier about 10 steps below where I was stood and thought that was it for me - couldn't breathe for what felt like a couple of minutes. I still feel it in my ribs in cold weather 37yrs later.
Charlie Nicholas and Tony Woodcock scored and Arsenal won 2-1.
Needless to say, absolute fucking mayhem outside the ground afterwards.
It seemed like a good idea at the time (16yrs old) to go with some mates from school... :-)
Character building stuff but I'm glad we don't see massive terrace surges any more.

Yeah the stand they built to replace the Kippax looked ridiculous in comparison to the rest of the ground. The new Platt lane stand wasn't great either, way to small for a club of their size

The St. Andrews Kop did roll all the way round to one of the ends behind the goal (scene of the 92 riot) whether as the Kippax stood alone with seated stands at each end

Not paddocks with seats behind but complete terraces. Always a certain, how do I put it, 'frisson' about sharing these spaces with home fans as I recall St Andrews and Maine Road spring to mind. Cavernous bleak spaces often quite empty in places, leaving room for manoeuvre. What about the 'Shelf' at White Hart Lane, stood there once, or did that have seats behind, perhaps more of a 2-tier paddock. It was rammed so a different vibe to Birmingham City say. Anywhere else? NOTE: I wonder who decreed that, in general, standing was an activity to be done behind a goal and sitting was to be done to the side! Charlton and Burnley

Remember going there for what I think was Steino's first game for Stoke on the plastic pitch. Paid at the gate to stand with Pteston fans. Crowd was so thin Social Distancing was probably observed.

Not sure if true or not but a chap I used to work with, he was from Nantwich claimed he went to the replay with a friend by train. When they arrived late at WHL he asked what the score was and someone said 6-1, he asked who to? Spurs were one of the best team in Europe at the time.

I think that you are probably right as my dad, despite being a staunch Stokie went to the game by train and always said that the queue outside the ground was so long that Spurs had scored 9 before he got in!

The attendance was over 64,000, Spurs second highest of the season. "At half-time Spurs were 10-1 ahead and added three more in the second half to record their highest win, 13-2. Allen scored 5, Bobby Smith got 4, Jones scored 3 and Tommy Harmer completed the scoring. It is said that Crewe left London Euston from Platform 13 and arrived in Crewe at Platform 2."
