My wife and I are getting a cat. It’s going to be called Walter and my wife thinks it’s a good name for him. She doesn’t know it’s full name is Jonathan Walters.
Have you ever snuck in a Stoke name / reference unbeknown to others?

Our new cat (seven months old now) has been named Lilah by my wife. What are the odds?
I just call her Wriggly Wiggly. The cat - not my wife ......

On the flip side, my wife who has no association with Stoke City (Shes from Manc) wants to call our unborn son Stanley. I’m a bit reluctant as I can’t be arsed with people asking us if he’s named after sir Stan for the rest of his life.

I'm thinking about calling my new pet turtle Tom Ince, although I think that's an insult to the turtle.

Over my professional like I gave many presentations and always made sure I somehow managed to get a sneaky (sometimes not so sneaky ) reference into my Stoke allegiance. It had to be done

When my ex wife was pregnant with our 2nd she suggested Lewis as one of the names if we had another boy, I did my best to appear blasé about it whilst gently steering her in that direction

I managed to get my sons named after Stoke players without my wife cottoning on. (She only had a girls name sorted - and we both agreed on that though maybe not on the spelling). It might have been a bit more difficult in the "Premier League Years" to get them past her but Mark (Stein) Ian (Cranson) and Simon (Sturridge) John (Ritchie) were a piece of cake!

I had two goldfish called Lou and Nello. They lived in the bath for a couple of years. True story that is. Nello had swim bladder problems and was always upside down. OS.
