Yeah, the team goal we scored at Villa when we stuck 4 past them was as good a goal I've ever seen a Stoke team score.

The best goal I've ever seen from a Stoke player has to be Crouchies against Man City.
My favourite goal is probably Ricardo's audacious flick goal against Villa.

Think Jimmy Greenhoff against Birmingham many years ago will take some topping.

Tony Ford scored an absolute beauty for us at Shrewsbury in a 3-0 win at Gay Meadow in 87/88. Shame it was never captured in camera because it’s always stuck in my mind as one of the best goals I’ve seen from a Stoke player.

I wasn’t there to witness it, but didn’t Mark Chamberlain score a worldly at Birmingham in 1982 that was also never seen on TV?

Or at least the greatest in the modern era. 30 crackers.Any missing? Are there any wondergoals that are described in The Sentinel's archives but weren't recorded for whatever reason? I particularly like the idea of an 1880s press report on a Charle Adam-style goal.

To be fair though the goalkeepers were usually a bloke in a jumper and flat cap who smoked a pipe. They had a great habit of diving several minutes after the ball had trickled in , between drags of Old Holborn's finest shag.

Several crackers on the list but, in 60+ years of watching Stoke, the most memorable for me would be JB's superb header v Man City; it was the greatest performance by 10 men and by a crowd that I have ever witnessed.

Plenty of great goals about, 1st one for Steino v Man Utd in the league cup Greenhoff v Brum as above
Cameron Jerome v Southampton, 90th minute for the 3 all equaliser, the way he cut across the ball to send it thundering past the keeper into the corner

I could not choose between Jimmy Greenhoff against Birmingham or Peter Crouch against Man City. Privileged to be at both games! me too... We were top of the league that day, i thought our time had come. Shame jimmy got injured a bit later in the game and had to go off. I'm somewhere behind the goal for that one, and for crouchies i'm somewhere in the crowd to his right - if they ever get tech good enough than can enhance the crowd on a still so i can pick myself out i'd love to have both...
