I doubt anyone is supporting the idiot who shouted the abuse, but I can't see how folk can say what Dier did was acceptable, no matter how much we might feel for him. The FA will have no choice other than to ban him, butI hope the tosser in the orange hood gets slated as well.

Well if I was the Brother of a footballer I wouldn't let the abuse bother me tbh. But there are right and wrong ways, the right way was to get a steward. The wrong way is for a bloke who should know better to go steaming in like a moron. Dead easy if you take emotions out of it. It is. And once they are shown and acted upon, sanctions should rightly take place.

They do and when they do you should be punished for your actions if they are wrong. I disagree, it's a sure sign of a fanny. Perhaps he was accidentally abusing him. The abuse might have just slipped out of his mouth. PS I'm not sure which bit you're disagreeing with or who you're describing as a 'fanny'? I don't think there's anything wrong abusing them tbh as long as it's within the law. Dier's brother seems a bit of a fanny tbh (but we don't know what was said and if it was raw, then I have some sympathy) but I was describing the bloke legging it as a fanny.

Dier was in a spectator area, where he had no right to be. He was certainly behaving in a manner likely to cause distress and crowd disruption. He should have been at worst arrested, or at least ejected from the stadium.

What would happen to you if you went into the opposing supporters end and throwing your weight around, I don't think the old bill would let you get away with it (never mind the fans)

Here's another question...
Did the referee see it and produce a red card, given he can do up to an hour after the final whistle..?

But it's not really like that anyway, is it?
