When you look at league table that is a big 2 points dropped today The biggest points were dropped at the start of the season mate. With that very popular appointment of Mad Nath.

This is 100% the managers fault. He didn't have to set up so negatively and had he been more positive recently, won one of those last two games and lost the other by opening up the team then we'd be one point better off with a better goal difference. It’s not 100% the managers fault though that’s crazy? If Ince sticks one of his 3 chances away and we go two up we win the game comfortably. Disappointing to concede so late and it absolutely feels like a missed opportunity but the players have to take responsibility as well..... Do we mate seriously? We went 2 up at QPR ...another game where we created fuck all after 20 minutes

Look at the Preston game, he got that spot on tactically against a strong team, we controlled the game and there was only one winner until Chester makes a mistake from nowhere. QPR at 2-0 we let them back into the game with terrible defending, today we made a mistake when we just needed to be professional and see the game out. O’Neill said we were leggy second half, it’s easy to say we should keep attacking a team but after 3 games in 7 days maybe the players didn’t have it in them? I’m not defending him, merely saying that the players need to take their share of responsibility, it’s small margins a lot of the time.....

The players not keeping the ball comes down to the fact that they’re just not very good a lot of the time......

He's setting us up far too negatively. Yes, players miss chances of course they do, but to go to Luton who have conceded 71 goals this season and have less than double figures shots on goal, where Wigan had 13 away to the league leaders, is handicapping you before you start. Barnsley have won one and lost one of the last two games - gained one more point than us in the process. They won away at Hull but lost to Reading. They had 45 shots on goal in two games whereas we had a combined 20 in the last two games. Being more positive and giving your players more chances surely increases your chances of scoring more and winning more games? Our record under O’Neill up until the Blackburn game suggests we were doing just that, winning one and losing one...... Agreed. Great and let's go back to it. He needs to open up the side a bit, and it's obvious the Derby and QPR results have damaged something inside him. He needs to change it.

We do not have a strong squad at all. You are just being silly. We have a strong squad on paper, unfortunately they turn to paper mache under a bit of pressure Yes, but when it dries paper mache is hard as a rock....when’s our damn glue going to set?

And if by being more positive, we ended up losing both our drawn games, everyone would be calling for his head. A manager cannot legislate for a) a bad referee decision; b)players being absolutely pathetic and not doing the job they are paid to do; c) a goalkeeper playing as if he wants to gift the opposition a head start. In my opinion, Stoke and MON should be judged at the end of the season, not by criticizing every single thing that happens.

Thanks for your professional opinion, Freud. You don't have to be a professional psychologist to see that back to back 4 goal away defeats have seen the manager lock the side up in a 451 and later on in games has switched to a back five to desperately try and get a result. It is perfectly ok to criticise a professional person having not been one yourself.

I totally agree Luton were very poor , not sure that translates to mean we didn’t play badly, I honestly think most teams in this division would of given Luton exactly what they deserved today, the amount of times we gave away the ball from needless positions we would of been punished by better teams No Luton and Barnsley ain’t catching us, even if we got a very modest 8 points from 10 games (we will get about 15 imo) , them pair ain’t getting 14 points (top 8 form) in the remaining games

The manager can't trust the keeper, the left back, and we don't have a midfield.
He's done the right thing, the tactics are correct and he's done a great job.
Butland, Chester, Bruno, Ince cost us today.
Its always the same people letting us down.
We'll win next week

I'm trying to calm down, 33 points dropped from the first 15 fixtures have out is in this shit storm not the 2 today. 30 points remaining and hopefully if we get 12-15 we will be safe.
Hoping that brentford and forest will be in the playoffs with no chance of losing their spot when we play them.
Massive game next week, no bowen who tore us a new one last time we played them, no grosicki and no eaves.
If we are in with a chance this must be a win

91 mins and we are in 18th, we keep shooting ourselves in the head when we see freedom. Stoke will never change, complacency will always stop us from being a top club. Never been a top club in over 100years,Support base not bigger enough, and if it was not for the Coates we would not of spent 10 years in the Prem, just except it’s part of been a Stoke fan. I was referring to being a top club in the championship, we hit the complacency lazy arse, we are ok now button too early.

So, all that means is Wigan are a better team. MON has done miracles with a terrible squad. Sorry mate, I disagree fundamentally. O’Neill has the strongest squad in the division by a country mile. They only need motivating and thankfully he is much better at this than the two previous managers. You are making the same mistake a lot of people make: Squads don't win matches, teams do. We have a very mismatched bunch of individuals; some think they are better than they are, some are well past their best or simply lost the plot, some don't have the skill necessary, and some don't appear to care. They are a totally incongruous group of individuals who almost all cost too much and are not worth what the club paid for them. The last 2 managers failed to establish any degree of synergy, MON has achieved a lot by basically sticking with the same core of players* to try and establish some degree of teamwork, whilst tweaking the remaining positions to try and improve. * Butland, Ward, Batth, Indi, Allan, McClean, Ince, and Clucas + 3 of the rest. I'm sure MON would dearly love to change some of that core of players, but he is stuck with what he has got, and considers it better to try and maintain a stable team. It is no surprise to me that the 8 regular team members arrived here during different managers tenures as each manager has failed to bring in players that complement each other or the existing squad, and no manager has yet brought an effective defensive MF player. The view that the players "only need motivating" is laughable. Most of the players have no ambition left and are financially made. He adopts a defensive approach against teams that are in form like WBA and surprisingly Luton (3 wins in their last 4), most managers do. It's a logical cautious approach. In a way I am not too upset at throwing 2 points away today. It is the wake up call they need. Had we won and be sitting in 18th place feeling happy, we would be in for a big shock when we play the likes of Wigan, Hull, Barnsley, and Boro who will be scrapping like mad to beat us and avoid relegation.
