I don't know who sprayed the original but I do know who redid it on the new wall they put up when they redeveloped that bit of the A500 in the early 2000s...

I always wondered what Mick Mills thought when he drove past that on the way to work every day.

I always wondered what Mick Mills thought when he drove past that on the way to work every day. I guess every manager gets it. Pep gets grief from a section of Man City fans on different sites, not so long ago some Liverpool fans were calling for Klopp's head on Talksport etc. I know they don't represent all fans but just takes one. I quite liked Mills, built a real good side one season that just fell short then started the next one poorly. Bought some good players and we had that great home run under him winning 6 or 7 on the bounce. I remember a cracking game home to Palace, they had Wright and Bright up top and we were flying. After that and a home win v Sunderland we drifted away with the odd injury kicking in and then of course lost the odd player soon after.

Heaven knows why they gave him the new contract in summer 89. It was abundantly clear he'd already hit a dead end.

I always prefered the "Coates - What's The Story, No Glory" around the time a certain Oasis album came out.

And the follow up single, Stoke are shite, we don't believe in heaven, with Coates in charge we're all living in hell!

There should be a perpetual . . . . . .OUT! sign. Then we can just periodically fill in the blank.

Didn't he sign Biggins and Cranson after the contract although Biggins took time do anything. Ian Scott who never lived up to the hype he came with.

I used to go out with a girl whose family were regulars at Dens Park - they're now my second team - and we all knew there was some kind of affiliation between Stoke and Dundee but the specifics were beyond us... Ta!

I'm more bemused by the random "PHIL BABB" one just down from Mellards bar in Newcastle Talking of random, my first trip to Man City, early 70's, on the wall at the back of the Kippax was daubed "Come into the garden Maud!"
