I don't know who sprayed the original but I do know who redid it on the new wall they put up when they redeveloped that bit of the A500 in the early 2000s... With reference to another post on here, was it Banksy? As he would have been around eleven years of age at the time in Bristol, one doubts it.

I always prefered the "Coates - What's The Story, No Glory" around the time a certain Oasis album came out. I thought it was "What's the story Coates no glory". It certainly fits better. it was. used to drive past it everyday

The Thing is back btw. He's scrawled on the bridge near Wolstanton Retail Park. Was going to mention him oddly. Good to see . Been away too long I remember a a kid someone had sprayed 'The Anti 1988 society' on Etruria station I often wondered what the society actually did and how the were anti an actual year. I bet they they were relieved when 1989 came around and all was well again

As a young un I always remember the Crewe platform at Longton Railway Station being blessed with 'Mahoney, Prince Of Wales' & 'Stoke City FC Champs' on the Derby side. Mid 70s obviously!

Out of order north of the border was another on the old A500 roundabout ( now lights ) prior to our visit to Dundee pre season 1994 Was there for a good while that one 😊 Could I get a quick recap of the Stoke-Dundee thing? I used to go out with a girl whose family were regulars at Dens Park - they're now my second team - and we all knew there was some kind of affiliation between Stoke and Dundee but the specifics were beyond us... Ta!

With reference to another post on here, was it Banksy? Can confirm it was not Banksy, as he was referred to as ‘Mrs Mills’ in our house ( for the young’’uns on here, she was a pianist of sorts ) plus we didn’t have that colour spray paint.😱
