What's not to love about a football club in the UK being owned by a company controlled by or working under instruction by a hereditary dictatorship.

Had this all last season too, funnily enough during the time the transfer window was open.
Problem Newcastle have is that even if it goes through, they’re governed by financial fair play. Keeps the elite separate from mid-table teams.

They need world class coaches, scouts, players. It’s hard to do no matter how much money. We spent insane money ourselves and got nowhere for the above reasons. It’s crazy hard. So your saying Steve Bruce isn't a world class coach?! Harsh, but I think so

Stoke City FC are actually the proof that throwing money at football doesn’t guarantee anything at all. I foresee it going badly for Newcastle, if it goes through. Bet it doesn't. You'd have said the same about Man City - as big a basket case - when they were taken over. These kind of owners are in it to satisfy their own ego and will throw as much money as it takes to have their clubs be a success.

Man City had a free run at it though and the pick of players at that time. Who would you buy now for Newcastle? Football, now, is less about big names and more about prospects, compared to when Man City were doing their thing. I’ve seen today that more Russians are looking at Newcastle too. That one will be more realistic for them tbh. Not saying the Crown Prince isn’t serious about Newcastle but it won’t be as easy as ‘let’s just buy megastars and galacticos’ this time.

<knocks pipe on mantlepiece> Is this an act of Swaffelen? Wiki: Swaffelen. Swaffelen (or zwaffelen) is a Dutch term meaning to hit one's penis —often repeatedly—against an object or another person's body. Swaffelen was named as the word of the year in the Netherlands and Belgium in 2008. The act of swaffelen often takes place in the form of teasing, crude humour or a degrading context

I don't know, Chelsea and Man Citeh haven't done too badly with that model. Yeah but they do hire people that know what they are doing though to spend this big was of cash... stoke from a very good position hire a mark Hughes fresh from a spectacular disaster at QPR, aided by a former leek town GK as head of recruitment... what could possibly go wrong!?

No. I’m pretty sure the Coates family haven’t beheaded anybody yet I’d have my fake beard and best half enders ready if they ever do sanction my stoning request for Mr Scholes though!!!! As long as there aren't any women......... No need to behead headless chickens!

Come on guys, give them a chance. Recently Saudi has tried hard to change their ways.
1. women can now drive cars. 2. No longer separate doors/seating areas for men and women in restaurants. 3. Visas for people of the U.K. to visit 4. Women can even now apply for a passport and leave the country without a man.
What more can they do?

Newcastle? Pretty sure by now that Ashley has been "green lit" on the street by the fans. They wouldn't care if the new buyer is a Taliban poppy-rancher as long as he's willing to waste money on over-priced players and his name isn't Ashley.
They simply must have something to brag about at the garden-party don't you know?

Of course they will 😡 You’re so right. On that note, we should probably only let Habitat for Humanity run football clubs. As if the US/U.K./French etc etc etc governments haven’t been guilty of all the things stated in the past and even present.

Will think they can win everything from Premiership to Strictly Come Dancing in the first year....
.....would end up being a play thing that the owners will get tired of.

My Geordie friend has just been yapping on and on about this in our Messenger group, all excited cos he reckons this means they’re gonna sign players like Mbappe at the end of the season! Hope this is just more hot air and doesn’t go through, if only to shut him up!!

The Saudis are the ones that support and sponsor worldwide terrorism and seem to have a free pass when it comes to abusing every human right known to man.

If it does go through it absolutely puts bail in coffin re O'Neill going there New owners will want a big name. If it doesn't go through Ashley will go ft the cheapest option which is sticking with Bruce

IF this goes through, I see it going like something similar to this: They immediately waste multi-millions on foreign/extra-terrestrial manager/players, all the while making the rest of us into peasants & idiots. Big multi-million dollar media campaign to celebrate this being "The 2nd Coming of NUFC." In some areas, Saudi school children will be forced to buy/wear NUFC jerseys or be publicly beaten. Instead of firing Bruce, the new owners have him bronzed (alive) and set on a plinth at St. James Park. New managers will either win their first 10 games or be executed. It all ends up in the same internal squabbles, getting relegated to the Championship, then ultimately set upon and eaten by the Giant FFP Space Marmot.
