Jon Parkin taking his shirt off in celebration of almost getting into the opposition box. Truly appalling on every level.

The purple kit from around 1992 was dreadful. It's my favourite away kit, an absolute classic. haha, it’s unique alright and will go down as one we always remember but it’s woeful, my mate Rupert had one (don’t laugh) and he loved it, wore it everywhere and everyday. Shopping in morrisons, a night out in Drayton, you name it he wore it

Obviously not looking good now but at the time the purple one was spot on.

Our asics solid green away strip when we first moved to the Brit was one of my least favourites.. More its style & feel being worn as opposed to anything else. It was like a double thickness & I've never known a shirt that chafed the old nips while playing footy in it as much as this one! Awful shirt.. The home shirt that season wasnt much better either. Any Stoke kit that messes with the stripes is bloody awful. Obviously, the Holocaust season kit was atrocious, and even though it recently seems to have enjoyed a 1980s kitsch revival in the club shop, I still shudder whenever I see it. Then there was the inaugural Prem kit, with the red back, and the relegation kit with the white back. Both bloody horrible.
As a traditionalist, I maintain it should always be five white and four red stripes of equal width front and back, with white collar and cuffs. Shorts always white. The marketing department can have fun with the socks, alternating between variations on red and white, but that’s all they should be allowed to get near.

I wasn't a fan of the yellow away in our first prem season. it looked awful with the red brit logo Looked okay if you had a year round Mediterranean tan but on the average Potter in January this lemon costume just rinsed the colour right out of your face!

Every kit produced by macron. Tinpot. Can’t agree. I think on the whole the kits have been really good. But they definitely got us relegated.

The one we used in the FA Cup final. An absolute travesty. Correct answer. The pinstripe one was awful but somehow it was a more wholesome mistake. Also it was the 80s so somewhat forgivable. 10/11 was a humiliating embarrassment.

So we got a pinstripe kit, and a proud to be a potter banner on the Stoke End - money well spent (ahem). Queen of the South’s current away kit is uncannily like that pinstripe kit.

I agree.. on the name front macron arent the biggest or most lucrative of kit manufacturers around & I do superstitiously link them with our relegation & recent decline. But on the whole their kit offerings have been quite good & are certainly unique to Stoke unlike the same templates that Nike, adidas & Umbro offer their teams. How many times have we heard our fans moaning about we havent had a bespoke kit, no complaints with Macron on that front.. The Training wear is also pretty good quality & well styled, once you've got your head round the Italian sizing differences..
