Our worst player today by a distance. Worse than BMI? Worse than batth? I dont think so somehow. He did a few things right at least. Yes. Comfortably worse than BMI.

What did BMI do wrong today? What did he do right? Put a great ball on Vokes’ head first half. Generally linked up fine with McClean I thought.

About the worst player on the pitch.
Which was an achievement because the only one who looked ok was Powell.

He passed the ball forward to his own player successfully at least once and he won 2 headers. MON is a fucking genius to have us picking up points with that back 4. We dont have a full back worthy of the name and the 2 centre halves are beyond pathetic. Batth ducked under a header off a corner at one point.

He didn't pass the ball forward successfully once and pretty much every ball he passed to McLean was a hospital ball, behind him or out of play. The less said about his ability to get caught under the ball and get nowhere near heading it the better.

Tough question ... What did Smith do right? Very little but he managed to stop 2 crosses going into the box, he passed it forward, successfully, at least once and he won 2 headers. That puts him behind batth and BMI in the race to the bottom for me.

I lost count of the number of times Smith shit out of a chance to play the ball forward under no pressure and turned back to play a short backwards pass.

Absolutely but he did pass it forward, to his own teammate, on the odd occasion which is more than BMI did.

Yes. Comfortably worse than BMI. .... Batth ducked under a header off a corner at one point. Don't knock progression Dave. Last time out at Huddersfield he lost his man and ran away from goal.

Against a millwall team offering zero threat, we still looked like an accident waiting to happen. Nothing they did as a unit was ever even remotely convincing

Our only two chances of the first half and he was involved in both of them. Don’t think he was brilliant but the pick of the back four for me.

Hence they go sideways or backwards or long punt. I am encouraged that they are that aware to be honest. But yes it's an absolutely shocking back 4 and non of them are 'leaders'. The way Baath ducked under that ball from a corner; WTF, who does that at any level of football? Its mine until someone else muscles me off it is the way these guys should be being coached. I do agree its a miracle* we don't concede more (well done MON) * all references to "Him upstairs" copyright Nath (or maybe the division is actually quite shit....)

I personally would not bat an eye lid or shed a single tear if the entirety of Today’s back four fucked off on free transfers. Lyndsey and Bath are woeful footballers, can’t pass, positionally juvenile and very negative. BMI made about 15 passes today conversion rate < 20%, abysmal. Smith is a chicken head.

All four defenders were terrible.
Smith and Lindsay are two of the worst players in the club’s history, full stop. A modern day Kofi Nyamah and Steven Tweed. Today both of them performed to their usual appalling standards.
Batth provided the most comical moment with his ducking under the ball in front of his own goal to allow the Millwall player a free header.
Yet even given all that Martins Indi was still the worst of the lot. From the kick-off, his cowardice on the ball and refusal to show for passes, as one of the supposed senior members of the side, set the tone for an afternoon of struggle.

He’s better than Edwards in my view and isn’t he still only 27? I thought he defended ok but didn’t really link with Campbell.....but thought that was as much Campbell’s fault as much as his.....

Today he had more key passes than Powell, Clucas and Campbell. Was our most accurate crosser and had better long ball accuracy than Bruno, Allen and Clucas. If you think Smith was the biggest problem today you need give your head a wobble.
