It's the opposite of change 😂 So leaving the EU isn't change, you left wingers really have not learned anything have you Will it change for the better ? You've entrusted the country to the man who said 'nobody stuck up for the bankers more than me'. Kinda suggests that if Brexit doesn't turn us into the land of milk and honey it will the poorest, and the poorest areas who will pay the price.

Stoke-on-Trent has also bid for £120M of Government funding to improve the transport system. This will be the first test of the new Government's promise to start helping the midlands and the north.

Labour PM Gordon Brown stuck up for them to the tune of £850 bn, I wonder how much of that taxpayers money has been recovered

What is it with people who don't live in Stoke-on-Trent questioning, slagging off the people who do live there about who they vote for, who the fcuk do they think they are pompous self righteous condescending left wing twats, is it any wonder they vote against the sort of shit thrown at them by these entitled to no marks.

1. Just because they have bid for it, doesn't mean they get it. 2. It is UK tax payers money. The UK is a £8 billion pa net contributor to the EU, which is expected to rise over £10 billion pa if we stayed in. There are a few other significant net contributors to the EU like Germany, France, Italy, and The Netherlands, but most countries are net beneficiaries. Germany and the Netherlands enjoy huge positive trade balances with the rest of the EU, whereas the UK has a massive trade deficit of over £60 billion pa, the biggest chunk of which is with Germany (> £20 billion pa). During the membership of the EU in 1973, the UK has contributed approximately half a trillion £. Would that had been spent at home? Spain is now is budget balance with the EU, which effectively means it does not pay anything for the running of the EU. Historically Spain had been a net beneficiary of the EU till the east European states joined. In the 1970s and 80s. Spain's financial benefit from the EU was roughly equal to the UK's net contribution. In effect that means the UK paid for the rebuilding of Spain's infrastructure (roads, rail, airports, railways, etc.) since the demise of Franco. With the UK leaving and the EU losing the UK net contribution how are the other countries populations going to react to being bigger net contributors other having their benefit cut? I know it will not go down well in The Netherlands and Italy.

So youve never been abroad for 40 odd years? And you can call yourself whatever you want but you are a European citizen. Untill the 31st of Jan Jesus. Denying yourself the experience of travelling, whether it be taking the family away to Tuscany or watching the Potters in Valencia. And all for what? Because your passport states European Union alongside United Kingdom. Utterly myopic. Coincidentally, you'll still be European after the 31st of January.

I can't remember when it changed or why if I'm honest, they just used to arrive in my mailbox when I was in the RN, if it was 1988 then I was probably in the Gulf, Iran and Iraq were having a bit of a tiff I think Hasn't really had much effect on me if I'm honest, that I'm aware of anyway.

Bit late aren't we. Liverpool got just under £2 billion alone from the EU ERDF scheme up to 2013 for regeneration which it spent across the city. Stoke was also eligible for such development funds, but only applies now despite desperately needing the money. Once we leave the EU that source of funds dries up, the 'shared prosperity fund' proposed by the Tories to replace this loss of regeneration money hasn't gone beyond the back of the fag packet stage. I'm not holding my breath on that one.
