Wouldn't be surprised. His reputation was big, the outcomes on the pitch weren't.

Isn’t one of O’Neills backroom team a goalkeeping coach ? Writing was on the wall for Quy presumably regardless of how good a job it’s thought he was doing.

I won't be sad to see any of them go. The whole place is stale and needs a big refresh, preferably from the top down.
Our goalkeepers have been appalling recently and our record on penalties is ridiculous.

It's a strange one. Reputed to have a good reputation with players, yet our keepers seem to have regressed under him. Personally I would have started with a new backroom team from the get go. Even Delap has been tarnished by our dreadful form over the last few seasons.

It can only be aimed at Butland's recent form in my opinion.

Bayern is correct, David Rouse has come in from Man City He’s actually updated his profile on LinkedIn (very professional)

He hasn't really gone out of his way to save anything.

Did exceptionally well with Sorenson, Bego and Butland but it's harsh to blame him for the latters drop in form. Jacks personal ambitions that have failed to happen and off field issues are not AQ's fault. We signed Bego from Pompey and sold him to Chelsea,I'd say that was progress. Sorro signed and did wonders for us when his career liked to be going downhill. Cut the guy some slack FFS.

Another one pays the price of continuous failure , fair enough , but the one at the top of the tree for years of continuous incompetence and poor decisions in every aspect if his job continues .

But in my opinion Feds stepped up to the plate as cover and is a very competent championship keeper. He was first choice at Reading for 6 seasons including PL and played 26 times for his country at various levels. You could see the confidence he instilled in the defence and his distribution was tons better than butlands. Thought it was poor man management when Delap dropped Feds, when he hadn’t put a foot wrong in the games he played, to bring Butland back after his many calamities.

Think one of the stipulations for Rowett coming was that Quy would be retained which meant Rowett couldn't bring his GK coach, Kevin Poole. That would suggest Quy was extremely highly regarded by the club.
That said, can't say I'm overly bothered to see him go

This time next year we could have dropped from 9th in the PL to League One in 4 years.
