Anyone else feeling abandoned out there?
None of my other three fellow supporters showed up last night and I didn't venture up to the cricket club either because I knew it was a no show up there as well. Was there a Strictly repeat or a good feature on Eastenders?

We are now down to the core 10k or so and who can really blame the punters for not wanting to watch the crap on the menu?

On a positive note, my mobile phone reception was much improved.

I hope this starts to hurt those absolute wankers who allegedly run this club.
Nothing else seems to be getting through to them. Hit their pockets. They've done this.

The club doesn't deserve a full stadium. Or a half-full one. I don't think people should go, whether as a boycott, a message to the owners or because they simply have better things to do.

Was there a Strictly repeat or a good feature on Eastenders? I stayed to the bitter end last night mate. Utterly depressing watching the stadium slowly empty. There wasn't even any anger or venom. Just an abundance of apathy. I cant fathom how its come to this. This must be the highest paid team and most expensively assembled squad in the league. Ability aside, the eleven just lack any effort or resilience. They cant even do the football basics either. They need an absolute rocket up their backsides.

Especially the bit about anger and venom. Not even at Scholes. I've supported the club in similar dark times, but this time seems different. No one is screaming at the management/team/board/whoever. I don't get what's going on at the minute. Is it apathy or are people unsure who to take it out on?

Apathy is the word.
People have had enough and are bored of the whole situation, they've seen managers come and go and nothing changes,
Season ticket sales will be where people voice their opinion next year. It'll be a complete fuck up for the club financially.

Think it's more case of bewilderment & people seem to be resigned to the fact nothings ever going to change for the better anymore. Even manager changes have been badly handled in recent years & whilst everyone seemed resigned to the fact Jones had to go, people were even more scared about who his likely successor could be due to our spiralling form and status within football! The saying better the devil you know has never been more prevalent! & that inself is a very sad reality..

So about 8K season ticket holders stayed at home , can’t blame them tbh I got stuck at work down in Northampton and had to miss the game thank God. Listening to it on Talk Sport 2 on the way home was genuinely one of my most depressing moments as a Stoke fan....

Having been a supporter since the mid sixties at the ripe old age of 64 I seem to have lost interest. I almost did not renew my season ticket this season and seriously considered going to watch a team like Leek Town on a Saturday. I eventually decided to renew and bought at the early bird price. I have missed more games this year than I can remember and this is due to the following reasons.
1) Not being available for home fixtures 2) Watching night matches on T.V. instead of going to the ground - May as well get depressed in the pub or at home where at least I can have a few pints. 3) Apathy - I no longer seem to enjoy the whole Stoke City experience Travelling to the ground, parking, Being ripped off for food and drink after queuing for a ages in the concourse. Watching the dross football that has been served up for the last few years, Getting off the ground at the end of the match and travelling home.
Is this an age thing? I don't think so as I still love to watch quality football at every opportunity.

There will be 2 more empty if Alan Pardew sets foot in that dugout.
After 50 years of watching for my old man and 25 for me that will be the final straw.

No, it's not an age thing mate. How some of the fans even continue to watch this shower is beyond me. I'm a good few years older than you, and I'd had enough ages ago. The thing is, can this or these owners, get their collective heads round trying to get a proven manager in, who knows a good player when they see one. I've not one iota of faith in this present lot. Who in their right mind is going to take some of these idiots off our hands, to make way for better. Where is the better coming from? I'll say again, what a bloody mess this club is in.

I feel a deep jealousy and envy when see the away end bouncing like that. We have no songs, no atmosphere and the whole place feels derelict. I love this club with all me heart and its killing me to think about going before the finale whislte( I don't though i sit there aghast at the apathy of the place)
Sad thing is I got in last night and had to have a strong drink of jack Daniel's as reality finally hit that we are fucked all roads

I didn’t renew as the whole experience was shit to say the least, I don’t mind forking out the money but the thought of me paying anything towards that rat faced salary is beyond my tolerance.
They can do what they want I don’t care anymore

It'll be a complete fuck up for the club financially. Not sure that apathy is the correct word. Fatalism is a better description. Every one around me went to the match expecting us to lose but had HOPE in their hearts that we might just pull off an unexpected win. Apathy implies that we Stokies don't care, the fact that the "hard core ten thousand" turned up last night implies that the "hard core" clearly do. Those that left early were just disappointed because once again their HOPE was drained away. I agree that season ticket sales next year will be low, but I don't expect that to come as a surprise to the owners. I live in hope that the good days will return, but in the mean time I will remain a Fatalistic member of the hard core.

For the last 3 and a half years visiting supporters' have had the time of their lives when they come to our place, and sitting there week after week listening to away fans taking the piss as just got too much for me. Our demise has been of Biblical proportions and we haven't hit the bottom yet, not by a long way. December 2015 - beat City, United & Everton. Drew at West Ham, lost at home to Palace December 2019 - couldnt beat an egg.

I don't think so as I still love to watch quality football at every opportunity. It’s not an age thing. I’m several years older than your good self and your list resinates with myself to a degree. The major issue for me is the waste of our EPL status to where we currently find ourselves. The ineptness of the leaders (so called) not to have recognised the decline, take positive action to arrest the situation, steady the ship and reverse the ships course.
