Anyone else feeling abandoned out there? None of my other three fellow supporters showed up last night and I didn't venture up to the cricket club either because I knew it was a no show up there as well. Was there a Strictly repeat or a good feature on Eastenders? I stayed to the bitter end last night mate. Utterly depressing watching the stadium slowly empty. There wasn't even any anger or venom. Just an abundance of apathy. I cant fathom how its come to this. This must be the highest paid team and most expensively assembled squad in the league. Ability aside, the eleven just lack any effort or resilience. They cant even do the football basics either. They need an absolute rocket up their backsides. Yes and it was embarrassing watching Vokes and Butland clapping the empty Boothen.

Not sure that apathy is the correct word. Fatalism is a better description. Every one around me went to the match expecting us to lose but had HOPE in their hearts that we might just pull off an unexpected win. Apathy implies that we Stokies don't care, the fact that the "hard core ten thousand" turned up last night implies that the "hard core" clearly do. Those that left early were just disappointed because once again their HOPE was drained away. I agree that season ticket sales next year will be low, but I don't expect that to come as a surprise to the owners. I live in hope that the good days will return, but in the mean time I will remain a Fatalistic member of the hard core. I live in hope Kelly Brook will be in my bed tonight 😎 She couldn’t have been, she was in mine. I don’t know who was more surprised!

There will be 2 more empty if Alan Pardew sets foot in that dugout. After 50 years of watching for my old man and 25 for me that will be the final straw. I've done 50+ years as well but if Pulis comes back, I definitely won't. 4 weeks ago I'd have agreed with you. Now I honestly don't see what the alternative is given the board we have. It's short term, it's potentially damaging and it's small time thinking... but as it stands I think it's the best option.

I was at Millwall the other week (as a londoner I try and go to the away games around here) and usually Stoke's away support is fun despite how shit we may be, there's always a sense of self deprecating humour.
But for the first time in a long, long time, even the away lads seemed quiet. There was nothing to cheer about on the pitch (not unusual) but the atmosphere in the stands and in the concourse was noticeably a bit soulless. Like we'd kind of given up.
That's what our club is doing to us.

Biggest worry I have is future fans.
Remember the low attendances from early 2000’s and lack of young kids having an interest. Fast forward to Pulis era and I found it impossible to get my lad interested. He’s slowly getting back into nogger and he watches the last 2 matches and I can’t explain to him why he should bother when Liverpool/City etc are much more entertaining.
He has no connection to Stoke and the only thing keeping him hooked is his sister and the Women’s team. 10 years building up attendances and it could all be destroyed before long.

Remember people saying that it's better with just the hardcore because it's easy to get away after, queues are shorter and you can move around more? That it's way better without the Johnny Come Latelies and Premier League fans?
Yeah, fuck that off. It's shit with that few, always was, always will be.

Empty seats is simple because when we were promoted to the Premiership a lot of GLORY SUPPORTERS came out of the closet and started supporting Stoke. Now that we are in our second season in the Championship and look like we could be heading towards Division One the GLORY SUPPORTERS have disappeared.

Make that that 4 will you. 1st Game April 68, season ticket holder for eons, used to use door x in Boothern. Make that SIX if Pardew / Mowbray / Clarke turn up. Sorry this sideways, backwards walking football that MARK HUGHES instigated is finally too much for me I lasted until the 91st minute against WBA !
