I really dont like this guy. His latest rant in the Sentinel about not reading social media and blah blah blah Hes a typical overpaid entitled footballer with very little ability and a huge opinion of himself. Honestly I hate watching him play. The fact he has played the most games this season says it all. He dodges tackles, drifts around out of the game, doesnt work hard and just makes simple passes. The only reason hes in the team is that he has a half decent strike on him and scores 1 goal every 8 games. Basically this guy epitomises the problems of this current team. Turns up for the wage and doesnt give a shit either way. Zero affinity with the fans and stealing a living. Cant believe he gets such an easy ride on this messageboard, the guy should not be playing for Stoke www.stokesentinel.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/stoke-city-oatcake-twitter-clucas-3485028

Not really a rant is it, he answered the questions asked and I don't see anything wrong with it.

He was also (along with Gregory) having a good laugh with the Millwall players after the game Saturday. Comes across as an arrogant prick who quite frankly isn’t even that good!
Remember 🤫🤫🤫 too?

Looks ungainly to me, an absolute carthorse of a player.
Clue was in his CV, Lincoln, Hereford, Mansfield, Chesterfield and Hull before Swansea chucked him out after 20 games.
£6 million and the same again on wages simply pissed up the wall.

I'm not a fan of him but I don't see anything wrong with what he's said. Infact I think players should be reading that and following example.

I don't see what's wrong with what he has said? If anything this thread kind of proves his point about not reading social media

There is nothing wrong with his comments or reasoning- in my opinion there is nothing right in his arm waving, failure to track his man or complete inability to pass the ball forward. It won’t affect him but it makes me feel better to get off my chest what a nonentity of a footballer I think he is.

For me the biggest issue with Clucas and same goes for Allen is they simply lack positional awareness and discipline. He just appears in daft areas of the pitch and the gaps they leave behind are huge.
You can get away with 1 but with 2 of them at it, no wonder teams just wander through us!

I don’t see much wrong with the article to be honest.
The problem is the cancer running through our club. There’s not one player other than Shawcross that I find that I’ve warmed too.
Only way that will change is by winning games I suppose

Very good assessment,
whoever the next manager is I hope it’s the last time I ever see sam clucas play for stoke , he epitomises the poison running through stoke side , shirks tackles and his work rate is embarrassing then he tries to hide , coupled with being technically gash, he’s the first person to look at other players to blame, absolute poison, can’t stand him really can’t

I actually find this piece of vacuous dogs piss more offensive I too find it offensive. We have heard it all before.
Players confessing that they haven't been trying hard enough!
This club really is taking the piss out of the fans.

What he says isn't wrong. Don't like him talking about himself like some level headed old pro though as he is quite shit at football and his behaviour to fans poor.
anonymously bad rather than offensively bad.
I just don't really care what him or the club have to say. Desperate that the club have wheeled him out to speak really.

Has he not just contradicted everything his manager said on Saturday about a quiet dressing room who should be, but arent, tearing strips off each other?
He clearly does read social media and he quite clearly doesn't respect the supporters who made the effort to get to millwall or he'd have faced up to those that remained at the end of the game. Instead he strolled down the tunnel arguing with staff who pointed him in the direction of fed up supporters.
Another tosspot who we should be rid of at the first opportunity.

The bigger debate is how the hell have we actually put together a massive pile of shit in the mould of Clucas as come he’s robbing a living here like 99% of recent signings.
I’m firmly of the option that any stoke fan could target better players than we have, it’s insane that they have managed to put together such a toss unbalanced squad.
In no other profession you could get away with such ineptness and keep your job or dignity in tact other than at Stoke City.
All in all an absolute shocking football club and they deserve exactly what’s coming their way.
I feel sorry for us the fans and the employees who try despite despicable decision makers at the club, you should be ashamed but obviously you don’t care.

Clucas is the personification of 6/10.
He's never better than average, but the fact that this makes him one of our better players tells you everything you need to know about this club.

By far and away our most improved midfielder across the board this season.
At the opposite end of the scale is Joe Allen, who has fallen through the floor.

He’s been one of our better players this season.
