West Brom away 1-2 Unless my memory is playing tricks, it was: Windy day 10 or 11 thousand of us there to watch us climb above the Baggies and go top ( a position we would never relinquish) The fan that jumped in their paddock on his own. Though we wouldn’t know it, the start of a long unbeaten run against the Baggies. What a day! That fan was one of my mates

One of the best didn’t involve us scoring at all. The missed penalty in the 4-4 against Luton ! That was my first ever game. I was 7 at the time. Wasn't it George Berry's home debut?

Though we wouldn’t know it, the start of a long unbeaten run against the Baggies. What a day! That was brilliant. I've watched the game highlights loads, they were the better side for most that game. The ref must have been a stoke fan. That lad used to stand by us in the boothen, wasn't very old, fucking nuts to jump in there paddock. Some big lads in there. Fair play to west Brom though, they boing boinģ looked ace from where we were. I remember coming out at the end, I must have been carried 20 yards without my feet touching the ground. Great day

Coming from behind (ooer!😳) to beat Scunthorpe 2-3 in our promotion season. At what turned out to be the winning goal, I ended up in a totally different section of the stand and I still can’t work out how I got there. After the adrenalin rush, I reflected on the way home that we were on to something special.

Personally I would say that Sidibe goal against Villa is ranked right up there. Think I ended up about 3 rows down in front of me after that one.

After the adrenalin rush, I reflected on the way home that we were on to something special. We were booed off at half time in that game. By the end of it we were top of the league, and ended the season promoted. I’m never quite sure what the lesson in that is, but there is one...

Winning 4-0 at leeds in 2006 was a great day. Think Hendrie scored a free kick. Also the 6-2 and 7-2 wins against Leeds in 85 and 86. Thought I was dreaming

Cracking away day It could be my memory playing tricks but wasn’t Evans on the edge of the 18 yard box when he headed it? Seemed to be quite a way out from what I can remember. Never been so wet as I was that day.

I had just boarded a cruise ship for my 1st ever All Inclusive cruise and watched the match on the pool deck with big screens everywhere. When Joe equalised not only did I go mental but so did a load of City and Spurs fans. Fantastic experience and the perfect start to a wonderful holiday.

What's the first mental you remember having? Mine was a Greenhoff volley home to Leeds 75/76.

Mark Stein was responsible for several mentals. The biggest for me was at Vale Park March 1993, The Hammil End was absolute carnage that night. A late winner in a home game versus Leyton Orient, two goals in the League Cup against Manchester United and a screamer at Rotherham all caused a great deal of merriment.
But one of best celebrations was for Paul Ware's belter at Peterborough in The Autoglass Trophy.

What's the first mental you remember having? Mine was a Greenhoff volley home to Leeds 75/76. I can't remember I had the honour of meeting JG a couple of years ago, told my lad in front of JG that he was probably the best volleyer of a ball the game has seen. Jimmy, with a wink, said 'you could be right there'

Notts county, at age of 9 , the promo year thing, we left early cus me mom was worried about driving home, she hadn’t long past her test as we was walking down the road there was this mighty roar, cus it was obvious it was stoke fans cheering me owd man started to skip down the road in joy, in an-otherwise silent city, that’s the best mental I’ve ever seen.

You an possibly put that down to the England managers in charge, throughout the 70s England had shocking managers who played pretty average football.
