Id start him Friday night
up front
Id say 'there you go son - show these non league tossers representing us presently - you are better than them'
could we possibly do any worse ?
I cannot imagine he at least, wouldn't have something to prove ?

Hasn't stepped onto a football pitch since April, has he?
Whether that would make him a worse option that any of our others is a moot point!

I'd be all for it if there was any sort of evidence to confirm he has any fitness.
We haven't heard from or about him in the best part of 7 months, not even U23 action.
Has he trained at all?
He will be released at the end of the season no doubt, after pocketing more millions for doing bugger all.

People are already rightly saying he's lost the plot.
He plays a player on Friday whose not played since April or whenever it was the shouts will only get louder.

Taking the piss?!
The same Mame Diouf where a ball gets played to him and bounces off him ? The same Mame Diouf who throws his arms up in the air when he makes yet another fuck up and whines for about 10 minutes after ?
The only position Mame Diouf has ever remotely looked like a footballer, is the right wing back position.
Never do I wanna see him up top again.

Whether he is good enough or whatever.
You just can't throw players into the mix randomly at this level hoping it all comes off well and good.
Players need to be playing regularly to hit form and their best.

It’s more likely that we’ll try and grind out a point with the team that drew at Brentford.

He's looked unhappy at Stoke for the past 4 years. I'd go as far as to say that the first signs of Hughes losing the plot was when he appeared to lose interest in playing Diouf regularly and in his best position around the end of 2015.
He'd scored enough goals for us at that point for it to seem a strange thing for Hughes to do.

I take it you have forgotten his little comeback cameo last season? He looked like someone who had won a raffle and been plucked out of the crowd. Footballer my arse.

People were saying the same last season, then he came on and could barely run 100 metres at a light jog before basically vomiting.
He had something to prove then and all he proved was that he wasn't bothering to stay in shape. Real shame because he was treated like shit in the Hughes era by being shunted at full-back.

Diouf was better than this lot of forwards we have now. I doubt his fitness though currently. Another player lost in our mess of a team...

He wasn't even named as a squad player for the season Correct, nor submitted to the EFL 2019/20 squad numbers confirmed Does that mean he can now be added or only in Jan at the next window?

People were saying the same last season, then he came on and could barely run 100 metres at a light jog before basically vomiting. He had something to prove then and all he proved was that he wasn't bothering to stay in shape. Real shame because he was treated like shit in the Hughes era by being shunted at full-back. This is probably becoming the new version of "he was never the same after his injuries". Lies that get repeated so often they somehow become truth in some people's minds. The way I remember it Mame had been injured and was slowly coming back to fitness. For whatever reason he was placed on the bench and told he would be given 10-15 minutes to get into shape. However somebody was injured early in the game and suddenly the unfit player was on to play for almost the whole game. He very clearly was unfit and possibly staged a bit of an on pitch demonstration against the manager who had broken his promise (sounds familiar?). It's a very effective way for a mindgame machivellian manager to show everyone how useless the player is. Having seen Jones in other situations I would certainly not put this beyond him. I don't think Diouf was "treated like shit in the Hughes era". He became an emergency defender in one game and did very well. Then when Hughes introduced his wingbacksystem Diouf was asked again to play rwb. It was not a success but he gave it his best and was eventually restored to play further upfield.
