At least he isn't blaming bad luck so the posters on here who insist it is can we finally chalk that excuse off from now on, it's down to bad footballers and a bad manger, close to being a very good side my fucking arse we are. What are you talking about? Lots of posts discussing luck weeks and weeks ago but none since PNE for sure.

Its happened before mate us winning 4-0 at Brentford 9th March 1991,I remember it well Brentford quite a historic fixture for us for those that remember the unlucky south dressing room in Cardiff. It certainly is mate and another useless bit of information I remember (I’m full of them😄)was after a 1-0 defeat at Brentford in 2002 the Queen Mother’s death was announced whilst I was driving home

I have a problem with the reality that sees us bottom of the table, but I don't have to explain it. He has to say something but he's running out of cliches and disappearing up his own backside. I feel sorry for him but I feel sorrier for myself and the rest of the fans. Team selection needs to settle down but a desperate man will try anything once, and then try it twice and a third time....

What are you talking about? Lots of posts discussing luck weeks and weeks ago but none since PNE for sure. Badou will make the difference to this team, he is everything the team has lacked even since rowett. if we go to brentford set up like yesterday and lose the game with 11 men with badou, etebo & clucas starting in midfield I'll agree but it would be stupid to fire him now right on the verge of turning a corner.
The way to go v brentfor is to set up like yesterday but with badou, etebo & clucas Cm. And he will go the same route because yesterday we lost to luck and luck only. We would have walked that game with 11 men on the pitch

Mistakes happen, but not every mistake ends up in a goal. We are handing teams goals on a plate though. The kind of shite defending we saw against Birmingham and Bristol City will be punished every time and will probably continue to happen. Teams are wise to us. We don't do enough to stop crosses coming over and we can't defend the back post. Yes, those goals are a symptom of a team with no structure or organisation. The Birmingham winner, albeit a deflection, was the most concerning goal. Acres of space to run right through the middle of the team. The Bristol city goals show a lack of preparedness and attention to our weaknesses. Good managers work hard on covering up their teams deficiencies.

The more I read into his comments, the more pissed off I get. To say we are nearly a good side when we are rock bottom without a win and the worst goal difference in the league is laughable.

If he thinks Allen is part of our strongest side then we are lost with this barmy fucker. These pressers with his constant look, look, look, are an absolute joke. The questions are obviously vetted to give him a chance for a "get out of jail" answer. Also what does that freeloader Hart contribute?. False position Jones, no!.

"We have to get better", "tiredlessly..."
But nothing about HOW they will improve in defence.
It's like listening to the same press conference over and over again.
Maybe NJ has the responsibility role to play, but he's not alone out there at training. As I understand it from my outer view there are plenty of trainers, coaches, how is their training with the lads done? How do they practise how to defend crosses? In practice or on paper? And how much? Certainly not enough.
In pre season NJ said they took pre-season very seriously and they wanted to increase confidence and get into a winning path by those games. Now looking back, it would have been better to have played better teams, like Stuttgart, Everton, Rennes or whatever only, instead of Leek, Lincoln etc - just to set the alarm clocks early. Now the defence weren't never really challenged. What's the point of scoring 2-3 in those games then?

we can pick our strongest side apart from Joe Allen. For Christ sake. then contradicts himself... Nick Powell? NJ: Not fully fit, but he’s training. It’s a massive frustration, the same before that with Badou and Bruno. Shawcross on the mend NJ: He’s been a miss. I was quite excited when he was anounced as manager, young , hungry, with a short but good record .. but im really starting to think he is a bit of a yes man perhaps his success was more the success of the back room staff.. a bit like brian Clough was useless without Peter Taylor.

Sick of people trying to dissect every single word he says to come up with something to have a go at him about. Give it a fucking rest ffs!

Everyone’s fit. No they’re not They’re not lacking confidence. Then contradicts that too.
Sadly I think his head has gone and it’s showing in his contradictory conferences.

Apart from Leeds United, no team has dominated us. Where was he during the Preston game? With the money we have invested it would be quite incredible if most of the teams dominated us. But we have been poor and relatively easy to beat and worryingly I think we have played some poor sides. Preston didn't break sweat. We played ok against Charlton in patches but as soon as they put their foot on the gas we folded, I felt the same with Bristol City, though we started well a bit of pressing against our 10 men and job done. Nearly everyone could see it coming. Birmingham were also awful but brought on a 16 year old who finished us off. The amount of goals we have conceded suggests we are not that difficult to break down. Most teams have worked us out by the time got to the 60 minute mark.

Charlton was a complete collapse in the last 15, Bristol went to shit after Joe's sending off, and Birmingham and Preston were just appalling performances.

Don’t think I’ve ever wanted a Stoke manager to do well as much as this before.
He may well be out of his depth, flailing like a drowning man, but fucking hell he wants this.
If there’s any little bit of footballing fortune left in the bank of SCFC I hope we can cash it this weekend.
I would love it if Nate got his chance to chest beat and gurn his pleasure after a win. Love it.

Waffle, waffle and more waffle. Gouranga. So basically a pre match conference like any other? Do some people genuinely listen to these things expecting some incredible revelations? The solution to Brexit? The remedy for climate change? The meaning of life?
