Excuse me if I’m being a little slow here. But what is Nixon referring to when he says “it won’t change”? The situation were in under Jones or the board won’t sack the manager?

He’s saying that it would be a change of plan if he’s sacked as they were lining up someone to come in and work with him besides Hart. But as he says things change quickly in football.

I understand that they will be desparate for it to work with Jones, I think we all want him to be a success, yet given the unbelievably bad start we have made, time isn't on our side. With tough games coming up we could slip further adrift. I think losing the next two though wouldn't damage anything other than our egos, maybe even 3? The board will see this and wait, they will be looking at money side of things as well which will be a massive deciding factor for them. It's OK for us to say "sack him now" because it has no financial burden for us, easy decision, but The Coates will want to hold out as long as possible...just in case. Losing is an easy habit to get into tho and getting out of it can be more than difficult. If the Board has doubts they have to sort it sooner rather than later.

I think the board need to seriously consider that, for us, the season is over. Unless there is a dramatic change in both results and style of play the stadium will become emptier and next season's season ticket sales will be a disaster. I, for one, don't know how much longer I can suffer the dross we're being served up with. It's getting to the point where going to the match is a chore and we're only just out of August. Couple that with the poor take up of corporate hospitality and the writing should be on the wall. It's time for the board to grow some and make a decision. Rant over!

Start of meeting Klaxon.
All silent at Bet365 towers. News reporters currently outside awaiting the white smoke.

All I've heard is that an emergency meeting has been arranged for 11am today. Jones has not been invited at 11am but has been invited at the end of the meeting. The owners should invite jones along at the end of their meeting to announce to the press that he has been given a ten year contract extension in the hope of providing much needed stability to the club. This move would also finally put to an end to the preposterous hopes of one or two morons on here that the capped cunt could be making a return.

I hope, christ I hope if he doesn't get sacked we turn this around.
I really believe it can work, he's just got to stick to his methods, his ideals and live or die by them.
2 weeks to get a first team, get them drilled on what they learned in pre season, and go out and fucking smash Bristol City.

Lets hope he is gone by lunchtime, theres no way he can continue. Even if a new manager comes in and were still buggared at least they tried. We need an experienced head at the helm which is what we should have had after being relegated.

Hes had time enough. Clearly showing hes out of his depth in all aspects of football management. Stoke was a tough club to take over and we are now the collatoral damage of premiership wealth.

now at odds on to get the sack Speaking of odds, I'm liking the look of Monk or Pardew at 25/1 if Hughton remains adament on a Prem team (i.e, Watford, Castle, Southampton)

I can agree with that yes, but what I am saying is it is easy for us lot to say "sack him" when there is a lot at stake financially for them. It may not be a lot in terms of what they are worth however, it's still a hell of a lot of money. I really think they will be holding out until the next break...but then again...what the fuck do any of us actually know. Always fun to speculate though.

Stoke are 5/1 to be relegated on bet365. Those odds speak volumes and will hopefully give you some idea on what's happening behind the scenes.

I mean, if that's true, you don't fucking tell your bastarding club's co-owner to leave the room. If that was true and I was John, regardless of how much of a lemon I think he is, I'd have hit the fucking roof.
