I'm led to believe that 11am is normally Mamba time at Bet365 towers. Full works and all...

All I've heard is that an emergency meeting has been arranged for 11am today. Jones has not been invited at 11am but has been invited at the end of the meeting. Stop making stuff up, you're looking like a bit of a tool. He was nearly right last time, moyes' brother met with us, moyes would have taken the job were it not for the fact he was second choice and made his withdrawal in the running known when it was clear Rowett would be appointed

I don't think they will be sacking Jones today, a meeting surely, they would be stupid not to, but they won't be relieving him of his duties. I think they are going to give him the 2 week break to sit back and evaluate what has gone so dramatically wrong. I then think he has the next 2...possibly 3 games to turn it around and if not, the axe will unfortunately fall.
We are not completely adrift...yet, but the next two games are crucial I think, which is the way the board will see it. They more than anyone don't want to keep sacking managers, so i think this will be the sticking point for them, for now.

A 2 week break would give the new manager time with the players and look at new systems etc...

Heard this too, and he is being relieved of his duties this morning. I cannot say that he's 100% gone today but his position is in real jeopardy. This is why he's not been invited initially. Replacements are 100% on the radar. Right so the meeting isn't 100% him going, but could be him going. So either way you're going to be right. Fair play for coming out and saying it but not fair play for the politicians way in which you've covered your own arse.

I just think that the board will still be in two minds of what to do. They would much prefer to stick with him for the next month and see IF he can turn things around than to sack him now when we potentially have a chance to get out of this mess and save the embarrassment of looking for another manager...again. The board will be desperate for this to work.

There's another International break coming up in a months time they'll give him til then to turn it round. We'll win a couple of games (like we did at Watford) We'll wonder what all the fuss is about but we'll be back bottom at Christmas and desperate by which time any of the available managers will have been taken just like 2017. Deja vu all over again.

I understand that they will be desparate for it to work with Jones, I think we all want him to be a success, yet given the unbelievably bad start we have made, time isn't on our side. With tough games coming up we could slip further adrift.

With tough games coming up we could slip further adrift. I think losing the next two though wouldn't damage anything other than our egos, maybe even 3? The board will see this and wait, they will be looking at money side of things as well which will be a massive deciding factor for them. It's OK for us to say "sack him now" because it has no financial burden for us, easy decision, but The Coates will want to hold out as long as possible...just in case.

I really don't see how anyone can possibly think its worth risk. Aside from the expensive of sacking him what can they possibly be hanging their hat on. Everyone's got obsessed with the idea they have of Jones when the reality is he's probably one of the worst managers we've ever had. Can't identify problems and solutions, can't adapt to suit his players, can't procure players appropriate for how is wants to play. He's got one idea - a diamond - and that's not enough in a league where teams are cleverer and have better players and its easier to play against so there's fundamental holes in the plan anyway.

By not sacking him today they run the risk of a very hostile atmosphere against Bristol city. The fans have been quite supportive so far but i think they have had enough now & the tide will turn & things will get very ugly & not all aimed at Jones.

60 minute Klaxon.
Big Bob from stores has gone to fetch the keys to the storage cupboard. Mike the driver has started the car to go and fetch her.
A quick quote from Bob - "It's not as dusty these days. Had a fair bit of use recently"

If we're still bottom 3 by then, that is when they'll get rid. Friday 11th Oct is the next round of Internationals, I reckon the knives will come out then.

Jones is in a literally no win situation. He knew which players wanted to leave. So he recruited. Not everyone left which gives us now too many players to keep happy. So he keeps changing the starting eleven to please everyone. By giving all playing time. Best balance maybe to put two starting eleven teams together and have the same bench players each week. Anyone. Who doesn't wish to play for us uses the gym until January. Two starting eleven teams will want to be better than the other team which can only generate some wins for us. Victoria he signed 11 players. It was entirely his own fault heβs not too many players. He did but he had the problem of expecting at least Butland, N'diaye and BMI leaving and maybe others were talking about going leaving him in a catch 22 situation - get players in to replace them before they left or watch them leave and have too small a squad. Personally I would have done the latter given the number of young players we have close to the first team. However I can understand why he went for Davies as all the media were talking about which club Butland would join and that would have left us with one gk. I think he panicked when Shawcross got injured thinking BMI would leave to a European club when it was too late for him to buy a replacement. We don't know if Campbell senior was making noises in the summer, certainly my Shrewsbury friend told me right at the start of the season that he'd indicated to Shrewsbury that he'd like Tyrese to join them. Typically for the luck he's had at Stoke his gamble backfired, nobody left and now he has an unhappy squad.

If we'd have gone out on penalties after being 2-0 up at Leeds, then lost after being 1-0 up at Brum, I think he'd have definitely gone on Saturday evening.
As things stand, it might not be today he goes, but I'd be amazed if he was still here for the Bristol game.

30 minute Klaxon.
She's in the building. Bob is sweating, Mike is now wearing ear plugs and the Iron lady is dressed in black, clutching tightly onto a bag with B & M embroidered onto it. At this stage it's hard to know what is in it, but initial thoughts are that she HASN'T been shopping at B & M bargains on the way in.
